The Duat is one of four afterlife locations. This one is tied to the Tomb of King Tutankhamen.

This is a subquest for Shield or Blade. At the Alter of Apep, you'll find four samples of the essence of darkness. They're fairly spread out, so be sure to look around for them. They give off a strange aura which helps in finding them.
Quest: A Sister's Vow

Reward: 6000XP
After finishing Burnt Offerings, another side quest, you'll get this one upon first entering the Duat. Just find Ranofer and give him the amulet to finish the quest.

This is a subquest for Shield or Blade. It's a long way up to the amulet.

Thoth has spoken to a woman that tells you to take a tablet from the Hall of Knowing and give it to her. With this spell in hand, Bayek needs to collect the three ingredients required for it to work. When you have them all, start the ritual and fend off Anubis' men. When they stop, watch the ritual cease to take place.

This is a subquest for Shield or Blade. Just loot an essence of a god from the Funeral Parlor to end the quest.

Location: Next to Apep Khat.
Objectives: Read the Stelae
There shouldn't be anything here but the stelae.
Location: Altar of the Guardians
Location: North of the Temple of Tutankhamun.
Objectives: Loot Treasure (x2)
The altar consists of a small building outside of a cave, both of which hold their own treasures. There aren't many options for sneaking here, so you may as well take the enemies on for the experience. Well, there's some grass outside the cave, but that only helps with some of the enemies outside.
Location: Apep Khat
Location: Southwest of the viewpoint.
Objectives: Loot Treasure (x3)
Drop down to the water at ground level. All three treasures are in separate, unguarded caves down here.
Location: Canyon Treasury
Location: Northeast of the viewpoint.
Objectives: Loot Treasure
For this place, you need to climb up to another building and drop down there to reach the treasure.
Location: Cavern of Anubis
Location: At the southern end of the Duat.
Objectives: Loot Treasure (x3)
Barely anyone, three soldiers tops, will stop you from collecting all three treasures in this cave. You'd think that they'd be more protective of a place named after Anubis.
Location: Central Gate
Location: South of the viewpoint.
Objectives: Loot Treasure (x2)
The treasures here are protected by only a few soldiers that are easy to sneak up on.
Location: Funeral Parlor
Location: Next to the Funeral Parlor Store.
Objectives: Kill Captain, Kill Commander, Loot Treasure (x2)
You'll be coming here for the quest Shield or Blade. The place isn't very big and mostly consists of two large rooms. Each treasure is protected by one of the key soldiers.
Location: Funeral Parlor Store
Location: South of the viewpoint.
Objectives: Read the Stelae
The stelae is found in an underground room, accessed by burning a set of straw above a stairway.
Location: Guardian of Apep
Location: Next to the Altar of Apep.
Objectives: Loot Treasure (x3)
This place is very small and only has four guards posted nearby. Getting the treasures is very easy.
Location: Hall of Knowing
Location: At the viewpoint.
Objectives: Read the Stelae
There are no enemies here. To get to the stelae, you need to enter the front doorway and climb into a high window.
Location: Halls of Serqet
Location: At the far northeast corner of the Duat.
Objectives: Kill Animal
This is one of the locations you need to complete for the Sting in the Tale achievement. Unlike the three other scorpion-based Serqet locations, you don't have much room to shoot at the scorpions from a safe distance here. Once you pass through a slit in the wall, immediately run left and climb up to one of the blue glowing flowers; you'll be using this for cover. From here, take down the lesser scorpion so that you're only dealing with one, then get rid of the alpha to complete the location.
Location: Lotus Cavern
Location: East of the viewpoint.
Objectives: Loot Treasure (x3)
The entrance to the cavern is hidden behind a big blue flower. Senu won't be able to locate anything when you're inside the cavern, so be sure to figure out where the treasures are before you enter the cavern.
Location: Natron Workshop
Location: South of the Funeral Parlor.
Objectives: Loot Treasure (x2)
There's nothing of note here but the two treasures that take little effort to reach.
Location: Sanctuary of Anubis
Location: North of the Cavern of Anubis.
Objectives: Read the Stelae
Once you enter the sanctuary, look on the west walls for a very well hidden crack taking you to the stelae.
Location: Scorpion Lair
Location: North of the viewpoint.
Objectives: Kill Animal
You should know how to fight scorpions by now. Fight them with your best strategies (mine is to fire at them from afar) until the alpha scorpion lays dead.
Location: Temple of Tutankhamun
Location: In the middle of the Duat.
Objectives: Loot Treasure (x2)
One treasure is at Tut's throne, and the other isn't even in the temple; it's outside the entrance. Senu can't really locate the one by Tut's throne very well.
