32. Assassin's Creed Origins Kyrenaika

Kyrenaika is a dense region, like Alexandria and Memphis. There are a fair amount of quests to keep you busy alongside the decent amount of locations scattered about.

Quest: Absolute Power

Suggested: Lv36

Reward: 4500XP

After talking with Diocles as a part of the main story, talk to him again so you can help him with his problem. The corrupt Leander is wreaking havoc, and Bayek is willing to help put Leander in the light of the law. Your first course of action is to find a rather drunk man who's an important piece in this puzzle. Take him to Diocles' house to learn that the proof they need to reveal the corruption is in Leander's villa. All you've got to do is take it.

Fortunately for you, the villa is right next to a fast travel point. If you've not been there before, then you'll get to find a fast travel spot on your way, and if you have been to it before, then you get to reach the villa in about a minute. It's win-win either way. Just blast through the villa and take the papers, which will alert you of a coup against Dicoles and his friend. Make haste towards the meeting spot to warn him of it. Of course, as you arrive, the men will attack. Save them to finish the quest.

Quest: Cat and Mouse

Suggested: Lv36

Reward: 3000XP

After finishing the quest The Mousetrap, this quest will appear after a little while. The Mouse has been accused of murder and is being taken away in a cage; free him and talk to him, then go to the baths to investigate the crime scene. You'll have to get up to an open window to get inside the building.

After investigating the crime scene and taking a look at the body, you'll find a clue as to this murderer's next victim. Make a quick trip over there and learn from this man that the last victim is planned to be a man running a brothel. Find the murderer near this man and deal with them, then return to The Mouse and let him know how it all went down.

Quest: Dead in the Water

Suggested: Lv38

Reward: 3000XP

A woman named Agatha is worried about her captured son, who is held up in the Apollonia Barracks to the east. Take Titus out of the barracks and speak to him to learn what he's been trying to do. The Navarch he's interested in is on a ship in the waters; find it and kill him to finish the quest.

Quest: Are You Not Entertained?

Suggested: Lv37

Reward: 3000XP

A gladiator has left Cyrene with his master's sword, so naturally the Lanista wants at least the sword returned to him. Talk to him south of Cyrene and prove your worth by beating up some of his men, then investigate the nearby farm to find out where he is. Talk to him and ask about the sword, which has been tossed into the sea. Bring it back to Polymestor, then save him from the Lanista's men. Grateful for your help, he will allow you to keep the sword.

Quest: Founding Father

Suggested: Lv35

Reward: 3000XP

The Tomb of Battos is closed, which is upsetting many people. Climb up to the top and drop inside to find out why that is. It seems the Romans have taken two of the most important relics related to the tomb and have taken them to the Acropolis in the city. Take your time getting to the two artifacts and bring them back to the priest to finish the quest.

Quest: My Brother for a Horse

Suggested: Lv38

Reward: 4000XP, Rare Mount

A horse breeder named Darius has had his horse stolen, and he wants you to bring him back. The papers you need to find first are way over in Marmarica; use a viewpoint to get to it faster. You'll have to fight a few guys to retrieve the paper revealing the horse's present location in the massive fort to the east. Simply steal him and take him back to Darius, who will reward you with a new horse.

Quest: Pax Romana

Suggested: Lv35

Reward: 5250XP, Rare Hunter Bow

After finishing the quest Absolute Power (among others) and getting far enough into the main story, Diocles will ask you to find the deed to the fallen Leander's villa so that the property can return to the people. Return to the Roman Akropolis and find the deed, then bring it back to Diocles. After you bring it to him, Diocles will mention Vitruvius being in trouble, or so he says. Check on Vitruvius in the Green Mountains, who will tell you that bandits have taken his life's work. Head up into the nearby mountains and get it back to Vitruvius, who will now be back by the aqueduct.

After telling Vitruvius to go to the Oracle of Apollo, go to Balagrae to tell Praxilla the same thing. Crios, the man you saved earlier, is being attacked in the mountains, though. Kill his attackers and you'll be all set to meet up with everyone. The quest ends when you talk with everyone.

Quest: The Flea of Cyrene

Suggested: Lv34

Reward: 2250XP

This quest is doable at basically any level. I found it on accident by wandering all over the map after the prologue instead of going to Alexandria and benefitted greatly from the early amount of high experience for doing little to no work.

After being fairly impressive around the Temple of Zeus, Bayek is tasked with jumping from its viewpoint to show off even further to a small kid named Esiocles. All his friends call him Esio. He'll show you to the bathhouse, and then ask you to jump off the top of it. He'll then take you to the temple of Apollo for you to do the same. And after that, he'll take you to the base of the Acropolis for another jump. There are lots of enemies here, but you should be able to get to the top undetected.

Quest: The Mousetrap

Suggested: Lv35

Reward: 3000XP, Miscellaneous

Meet a shopkeeper in Cyrene who calls himself The Mouse and start following him to his shop. On the way there, some soldiers will attack you after having moved his belongings to the Cyrene Barracks. Take the stash and carry it all the way over to The Mouse and he'll thank you with money for now.

Quest: The Smugglers of Cyrene

Suggested: Lv37

Reward:

4000XP, Rare Heavy Blade

The Mouse needs some help getting the funds to start a new life after the events of the quest Cat and Mouse. Follow him to the docks and steal a shipping manifest, detailing the general location of the treasures you need to help him out. Once you have it all, head to the ruins and rescue him from bandits, then talk to him about the loot and go your separate ways.

Location: Apollonia Fields

Location: Southwest of the city of Apollonia.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

A pair of guards are protecting the treasure. They shouldn't be hard to overtake.

Location: Apollonia Roman Barracks

Location: East of the city of Apollonia.

Objectives: Kill Captain, Loot Treasure

Start the Dead in the Water quest before coming here, because you'll need to come here as part of that quest. It can be kind of tricky to sneak up on enemies here, so you should trap the brazier just in case someone goes to light it at some point during your visit here.

Location: Apollonion of Cyrene

Location: In Cyrene, to the northwest.

Objectives: Find the nearby hidden Papyrus

This puzzle, called Dead or Alive, is just sitting on a table.

Location: Cyrene Barracks

Location: In the city of Cyrene, to the northwest.

Objectives: Kill Captain, Kill Commander, Loot Treasure (x2)

This place is a part of the quest titled The Mousetrap. Start it before coming here to save time. The entire fort is easy to sneak through thanks to the grass and walls all around the place.

Location: Gladiator Arena

Location: It's its own fast travel point, opened after you kill The Crocodile.

Objectives: ---

This arena is a big step up from the one in Krokodilopolis. There are five arena events here, as well as a horde mode where you get to use your own equipment. You don't have to finish any of the events, but if you plan on doing so, I suggest being at a very high level before you try. If you're wondering, all of the fights here provide the same amount of XP as the events in Krokodilopolis do. The elite events, unlocked after completing the five standard events, involve tougher enemies with the only other notable difference being a higher gold payout.

Location: Roman Akropolis

Location: Part of Cyrene, to the west.

Objectives: Kill Captain (x2), Kill Commander, Loot Treasure (x4)

This fort is related to the Founding Fathers quest. Start it first and come here when you have to. This place is huge, and there are soldiers everywhere, so if you're patient enough you should try climbing up the backside to get to the brazier.

Location: Silphion Farm

Location: East of Cyrene's viewpoint.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

There are some guards protecting the treasure here, but you should be able to just sneak behind them and take them down.

Location: Sunken Shrine of Aristoteles

Location: On the coast, near the border of Marmarica.

Objectives: Loot Treasure (x2)

A simple underwater location. You'll be done here in no time.

Location: Temple of Zeus

Location: Northeast of the fast travel point for Cyrene.

Objectives: Find the nearby hidden Papyrus

The scroll is in the main temple, which just so happens to be the building you have to climb for a viewpoint.

Location: Thibron Expedition Shipwreck

Location: East of Apollonia.

Objectives; Loot Treasure (x2)

An underwater location. Easy money.

Location: Tomb of Battos

Location: In the city of Cyrene, to the west.

Objectives: Find the nearby hidden Papyrus

Climb up to the rooftop and you'll be able to get inside the tomb, where you'll find the scroll on a table. The puzzle is called Underground Currents.
