46. Assassin's Creed Origins Theban Necropolis (DLC)

The Theban Necropolis is a large place spanning almost a quarter of the standard DLC map.

Quest: Burnt Offerings

Suggested: Lv46

Reward: 5000XP

A mourning woman named Raia is upset that the tomb here was desecrated by thieves. Investigate the tomb to find a hammer that belongs to the blacksmith, who coincidentally just got arrested. Travel to the Desecraters' Camp to free him, who will tell you that the rest of his equipment (and Ranofer's body) is up in the hands of the thieves in the mountains near here, at the Pillagers' Hideout. The mummy won't be able to make it back, but at least his amulet can be returned. Bring it back to Raia to finish the quest.

Quest: Drowned Tools

Suggested: Lv51

Reward: 8000XP

At the southern tip of the region, you'll find a farmer who cannot pay his taxes due to the loss of his tools asks for your help in finding them. Just find them nearby and you'll be done with this quest.

Quest: Idol Hands

Suggested: Lv46

Reward: 7000XP

A scared priest of Amun has climbed all the way up to the top of a statue. Kill the nearby crocodiles and talk to him to learn more about his friend that was taken by bandits. Talk to him and convince him to join his friend, then look for the statue in a cave and bring it all the way up to the top of the mountain. The priests have one more problem, though: some lions have infested the shrine. Kill them to end the quest.

Location: Colossi of Memnon

Location: North of the two southern viewpoints, on the coast.

Objectives: Kill Animal

This is just a crocodile lair using a different name as a disguise. You should start the quest near here first, since you'll be tasked with clearing the place out anyway.

Location: House of Millions of Years of Usermaatra-Setepenra

Location: East of Set-Ma'at.

Objectives: Kill Captain, Kill Commander, Loot Treasure (x2)

What a name. This set of ruins has been taken over by lots of bandits. Thanks to the abundance of walls and grass, killing anyone here is easy.

Location: Lost Quarry Hideout

Location: At the southern border with the Waset Desert.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

There are barely any enemies here. Getting the treasure is easy as heck.

Location: Nile Outpost

Location: Next to the southern viewpoint.

Objectives: Kill Captain, Loot Treasure

A fairly large place for an outpost classified as small. Despite this, you won't find it hard to sneak around here. Jumping from the viewpoint gives you the perfect position to set a trap on the brazier, so you may as well take advantage of that.

Location: Nile Wharf

Location: Next to the southeast viewpoint.

Objectives: Kill Captain, Loot Treasure

Wait at the viewpoint for someone on the docks to be vulnerable so you can sneak up on them. If you're lucky, it'll be the captain, leaving his tent with the treasure freely exposed. If not, then the captain will probably be in his tent, still making things easy by only having to go to one place.

Location: Pilgrims' Road

Location: Northwest of the southern viewpoint.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

A cart taken over by hyenas is here. Hyenas aren't hard to fight, though, so that shouldn't be a problem for you.

Location: Set-Ma'at

Location: Near the northern viewpoint.

Objectives: ---

This place is a village that you can fast travel to. It's important because once you've finished the quest The Lady of Grace for the main story, you'll be able to buy a horse here called Eternal Maw for 5000 gold. Doing so will unlock an achievement.

  • Dark Horse

Acquire Eternal Maw for use outside the Afterlifes (The Curse of the Pharaohs)

    Dark Horse

Location: Shrine of Amun

Location: At the top of the mountain.

Objectives: Find a place to rest

Start the quest Idol Hands before you come here to save yourself the trouble of coming here again. The resting spot is near the shrine itself, a bit to the south.

Location: Temple of Hatshepsut

Location: North of the northern viewpoint.

Objectives: Kill Captain (x2), Kill Commander, Loot Treasure (x4)

You'll be coming here fairly early into the DLC's story, and this would be the perfect time to clear this place out. You should definitely consider setting a trap on the brazier at the top of the temple. This place isn't too bad assuming you've tagged most of the enemies.

Location: Temple of Hatshepsut Wharf

Location: At the northeast corner of the region.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

A few soldiers here are protecting a single treasure in a tent near the water. This place shouldn't take you long to complete.

Location: Valley of the Nobles

Location: West of the southern viewpoint.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

This is a small pitstop on the way up the mountain that was taken over by bandits. There are only about four of them here.

Location: Vulture Lair

Location: North of the northern viewpoint.

Objectives: Kill Animal

One of the easiest types of animal lairs. You shouldn't find much trouble in this.

Location: West Nile Guard Post

Location: North of the southern viewpoint.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

There are only a few soldiers here. It's easy to take them all down.

Location: Workers' Necropolis

Location: Northwest of Set-Ma'at.

Objectives: Loot Treasure

You'll be coming here during the story, so that'd be a good time to get this place cleared. The treasure is at a shrine above ground.
