Approximate amount of time to 100%: 18h
Estimated achievement difficulty: 2/10
Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1
Has it been in a bundle: No
Is there a good guide available: Yes, the user "ΡrΘTΛTΘ" has 2 amazing guides on the steam guide section. One for all the item locations and one for all the achievements.
How many people have completed this game at the time I'm writing this review: 13 on Astats

Multiplayer achievements: No
Missable achievements: Yes, "Never Alone" is missable, but you can do it after the first location, so if you miss it you can get the achievement in like 5 minutes in a new save file.
Grinding Achievements: Yes, there is one achievement in which you'll have to score 500 points in basketball. You don't need to do that in one arcade session.
DLC-Only achievements: No
Time-gated achievements: No
RNG-achievements: No
Does difficulty affect achievements: No difficulty option
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: Kinda yes, I'll explain more below...

Let me start with that I'm torn apart by this game. I really, really, love the game and had an amazing time but it is also a buggy mess. The developers are working hard on fixing the bugs, but it would have been better if the game had released first in Early Access, so people were warned about the number of bugs it has at the game's release and the few weeks after that.

I was very surprised to see at the credits a ton of test players thanked for their time, how did they not find the many bugs, other people found at its release?

I'm writing this review a month after release and I'm not able to get all of the achievements because of earlier bugs with them. I hope the developers will find a way to fix this without me having to play through the whole game again.

Newer players don't seem to have any problems with the achievements and there is a big chance they will be able to get all them without the problems that I've had. I would highly recommend waiting a month or 2 before starting to play this game, so the developers have time to fix all the known bugs.

So, that's it for the harsh part but I started this section with that I love this game... So, I'll try to explain why: You're a Barn-Raider and you've to try to find valuable items to sell in your shop and make yourself a tidy profit. This may sound very boring but the opposite is true, it was actually so much fun to visit so many different types of locations and then try to find all the items.
The developers did an amazing job with the variety in locations.

You start and end in a barn but between those two locations, you'll visit so many different areas, keeping the game interesting. If you enjoy games like House Flipper and Train Station Renovation, Barn Finders gave me the same kind of feeling. In some strange way, you're kind of just cleaning out the locations. Not literally, but you can smash down trash once you buy an axe, this makes it easier to see if you're missing valuable items and gives you that sense of cleaning.

The game also has a light story element, it is not a big part of the game but the further you go, the bigger your role gets. At the first location, you'll see some STRANGE things!

What I also love, is that the developers have given you the option, on the scary locations, if you want to have jump-scares on or not.

The achievements are, for the most part, pretty straight forward. Finding all story items, clean all dirty items, fix all broken items, assemble the items that are torn apart etc.

However, there are three achievements which are not so straight forward:
The first one can be missed, where you have to put a "Shirley" in your bed.
The other two are scoring one basketball point with a chicken and score 500 basketball points in total.

I highly recommend not to destroy the boxes around your store, because you can use them to make this basketball game a whole lot easier. When I did this achievement it was possible to get closer to the ring, don't let go of the ball but just make sure it went through the ring as normal, the moment you put the ball from under the ring through it the points stopped counting and you had to wait till you can start a new game. The developers were talking about removing this way of scoring points so it might be a lot harder when they do that, but it was already an annoying achievement to begin with, TBH.

Once again, I want to point out that I love this game, that is why it gets a positive review despite the issues I have mentioned above.
I really hope the developers will keep working on fixing all those bugs but if you want a smooth game, without too many bugs, please wait with playing this one.
