Since we still have yet to clear out a bunch of optional objectives, let's talk to Sentius.

  • "...we've already had this conversation."
  • "I couldn't stop it from being broken."
  • "Can we talk about who's going to break The Golden rule?"
    • "I've already figured out how to stop at least one person from breaking it. What happens now?"
    • "I think so."
  • "Can we talk about who's going to break The Golden rule?"
    • "I think I know who it is."
  • "It's Aurelia..."
      • "She's a charlatan: she's selling 'a way out', but it turned out to be hemlock."
    • "No, it didn't."
  • "Can we talk about who's going to break The Golden rule?"
    • "I think I know who it is."
  • "It's Desius..."
      • "He asked for help figuring out how to turn people into gold, to make money."
      • "Not anymore."
    • "On second thought, I don't think it's him."
  • "Can we talk about who's going to break The Golden rule?"
    • "I think I know who it is."
  • "It's Domitus..."
      • "He's been trying to intimidate people into voting for Malleolus."
    • "On second thought, I don't think it's him."
  • "Can we talk about who's going to break The Golden rule?"
    • "I think I know who it is."
  • It's Duli...
      • "He broke The Golden Rule as soon as I had him released from his cell."
    • "He had something I wanted."
  • "Can we talk about who's going to break The Golden rule?"
    • "I think I know who it is."
  • "It's Galerius..."
      • "He's an escaped slave, he's angry and resentful towards you, and he's killed before."
    • "On second thought, I don't think it's him."
  • "Can we talk about who's going to break The Golden rule?"
    • "I think I know who it is."
  • "It's Lucretia..."
    • "She threatened to scratch Desius' eyes out if she lost another patient because of him."
  • "Can we talk about who's going to break The Golden rule?"
    • "I think I know who it is."
  • "It's Sentia..."
    • "She seems awfully relaxed about Sentilla's disappearance."
  • "Can we talk about who's going to break The Golden rule?"
    • "I think I know who it is."
  • "It's Vergil..."
    • "At least one resident thinks his sexuality makes him a sinner."
  • "Can we talk about who's going to break The Golden rule?"
    • "I think I know who it is."
  • "It's Ulpius..."
    • "I believe he was seeing Sentilla, in secret, before she disappeared. I suspect he knows what happened to her."
  • "Can we talk about who's going to break The Golden rule?"
    • "I think I know who it is."
  • "It's Rufius..."
      • "He's becoming increasingly threatening to Vergil because of his sexuality."
    • "I'll get right on it."

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Talk to him again.

  • "I know what you did to Sentilla."
  • "You're keeping her tied up in the cistern."
  • "Who?"
  • "You remember him?"
  • "You knew there was a way out, and even locked up your own daughter to keep it a secret. Why?
  • "Hand over the key to the exit."
  • "It's the right thing to do."
  • "If you don't hand over the key, you'll have an uprising on your hands."
  • "What's to stop me from taking it by force?"
  • "This isn't over."
  • "I'll find a way to break the cycle, and you with it.

That completes The Golden Rule.

Finally, return to where you met Octavia and Ulpius in Time Loop 1, and insert all four plaques into the obelisk to open the door.

Updated Main Goal:

A Herculean Task

Enter the Great Temple

Step inside and speak to the first Great Temple Door.

  • "Pluto, Father of Riches, grant me an audience."

Continue forward, and speak to the second Great Temple Door.

  • "Hades, Lord of Many, grant me an audience."

Speak to the third one.

  • "Osiris, Lord of Silence, grant me an audience."

Finally, speak to the fourth one.

  • "Nergal. The Fierce One, grant me an audience."

Note: The below section contains spoilers that could not be added in a spoiler tag due to formatting issues

Run forward until you see the God of the Underworld, and save.

NOTE: If you already have the "Herculean" and "Psycho" achievements, skip past the text in the red box below.

We're not talking to him just yet. Instead, look to the right. You'll see a female statue (not gold this time) inide a glass case. Shoot it.

Updated Lead:

A Herculean Task

Take Proserpina's crown

Next, jump on the platform it was on and pick up Proserpina's Crown at your feet.

Updated Lead:

A Herculean Task

Rewind time and show Pluto you have Proserpina's crown

Run back to the portal. NOTE: There are two ziplines to the left of the entrance. You can take one after the other to quickly get back to the spiral staircase. Then retrace your steps back to the portal.

Pick what you want with Galerius because we're reloading anyway. Make a right just before Galerius and go to the top of the spiral staircase. Keep going until you find a ladder, and climb it. Cross the bridge the entire way until you reach more stairs. Climb those, then make a left. You may get stopped by Octavia, so get through the conversation, and enter the Great Temple. Speak to the Great Temple doors, answering in the same order you did before. Next, run up to the God of the Underworld. You need to answer correctly for a missable achievement. You should unlock:

  • "'See this? It's Proserpina's crown' (Throw)"
  • "I took it from her, after I killed her, in another timeline."
  • "I didn't want to kill her, but if you don't put an end to The Golden Rule, I will do it again."
  • "Well? What's it going to be?"
  • "We just want to return to the world."
  • "Don't make me kill her again!"
  • "I'm ready."

Reload your manual save when you can. Talk to him, answering correctly (different answers this time) again.

NOTE: The first several are for if you want to know more of the story. However, answering poorly on a few of them might upset him. Especially if you decide to argue with him over who got away with sinning. Not only is it not required for the next achievement, but you lose every time anyway.

  • "What's your story?"
    • "You're a god?"
    • "Why do you look and sound like a man?"
    • "May I see your true form?"
    • "Who is the woman on your left?"
    • "Who is that on your right?"
    • "Let's talk about something else."
  • "What is this place?"
    • "What was the wager you made?"
    • "Who are your kin?"
    • "Who built the city?"
    • "How did you decide who comes here?"
    • "How did humans learn about the Underworld?"
    • "Let's talk about something else."
  • "Are you responsible for The Golden Rule?"
    • "Why turn people into gold?"
    • "So you're responsible for destroying all these lives?"
    • "Where did these golden bows come from?"
  • "What do you consider a sin?"
    • "That principle is not as easy to apply as it sounds."
  • "How do you know when people sin?"
      • "Is Proserpina connected to the statues in the same way?"
    • "No reason." (NOTE: You can continue arguing here if you want or move on. I will outline all the options here).
  • "I've seen some terrible things here that you didn't consider a sin. How could you let that happen?
  • "Suicide."
        • "That seems like an extremely literal interpretation of the rule."
        • "If our language is full of ambiguity, doesn't that make the rule inherently subjective and unreliable?"
      • "No, of course not. Never mind."
  • "Price-gouging for life-saving medicine."
        • "He wouldn't want someone else to demand an outrageous price for the medicine he needed if he was dying."
        • "You can't know what he would expect. You're just speculating.
        • "Doesn't that make it inherently subjective and unreliable?"
        • "And you think you know the minds of other people?"
      • "No, of course not. Never mind."
  • "A scam."
        • "She wouldn't want someone else to sell her hemlock if she thought she was buying a means of escape."
        • "You can't know what she would expect. You're just speculating.
        • "Doesn't that make it inherently subjective and unreliable?"
        • "And you think you know the minds of other people?"
      • "No, of course not. Never mind."
  • "Debt bondage."
        • "He wouldn't want to be trapped in a thirty-year labour contract because of a loan."
        • "The whole concept of debt bondage, like slavery, is unethical. It's illegal under international law where I'm from."
        • "It's customary to take out a loan to buy a house, and in some places, to pay for an education."
        • "It depends. Typically decades. Sometimes, their entire life."
        • "It's not the same thing."
      • "No, of course not. Never mind."
  • "Experiments on the golden statues."
        • "She wouldn't want to be experimented upon if she was gilded."
        • "That seems like an extremely literal interpretation of the rule."
        • "If our language is full of ambiguity, doesn't that make the rule inherently subjective and unreliable?"
      • "No, of course not. Never mind."
  • "Abduction."
        • "I disagree with that."
      • "No, of course not. Never mind."
      • "It's no wonder people say the gods are cruel. This just shows how unreliable and subjective your moral code is. You're no better at judging right from wrong than any human."
      • "No, but that's my point. Nobody's grasp of right and wrong is so perfect they can be trusted with all this power. You've become a tyrant."
    • "And if you did, you'd be proving my point."
    • "Let's talk about something else."
  • "That's all the questions I had."

NOTE: You must respond correctly here.

  • "I'm from the future."
  • "'I was hoping you could tell me.' (Lie)"
  • "Shouldn't you know all this, as the God of the Underworld?"
  • "I'd like you to end The Golden Rule."
  • "How can you expect us to live without sin, if you can't do it yourself?"
  • "You've given terrible punishments to hundreds of people, some for minor sins, and some who committed no sins at all."
  • "If our positions were reversed, you wouldn't want me to punish you for the sins of other people."
  • "No."
  • "What makes your kind superior to mine?"
  • "Why do wisdom and technology make you superior?"
  • "So you think you’re not obliged to treat us fairly because you’re more powerful than us?"
  • "What was it the Romans Stoics said? 'Treat your inferior as you would wish your superior to treat you.'"
  • "But didn’t you say Jupiter was your leader? There’s a hierarchy within your kin."
  • "So are you treating humans the way you would wish Jupiter to treat you?"
  • "I’m saying: If you can’t follow your own rule, how can you expect humans to?"
  • "You’re not a monster. You’re a human, and you made a mistake."
  • "Humans make mistakes. It’s in our nature."
  • "Perhaps he made a mistake too."
  • "Perhaps when you took on human form, you took on some human foibles as well."
  • "We just want to return to the world."
  • "Why?"
  • "I’m ready."

If you won the three required arguments, you should unlock:
