There's only 2 enemy types in the game that shoot "shots" that count toward this achievement, the platforming section end boss is one of them 'Energy Brute's are the other.
Get hit by the projectile that they launch as it is moving and die to trigger a "shot" death.
Jump near a projectile as it hits a wall without intercepting the shot as it travels to trigger an "explosion" death.
The explosion must be a shot that hits a wall.
