To unlock a hero, first find and recruit them in the dungeon, and then either pass three floors or finish the dungeon. To unlock Esseb Tarosh, you have to select him during Endless Day event, which is every January 21st. Though you cannot unlock her permanently, you sometimes get Ayairi Whairydd if you choose random heroes at the start.
