I got this with several other achievements at once.
I went to advanced setup and chose the following;
Huge map size (I deleted a few AI to make it a little easier)
Inland sea
Information era
Resources abundant
(sea level and rainfall can be whatever you prefer, barbs removal will make it easy too if you like)
lastly I removed all victory conditions except for science victory, this allows for going over 500 turns.
Due to the lateness of the age you have multiple settlers to spread out and find tiles for production and science boosts. Focus your initial city production on campus and space facility. Research selection needs to be on all discoveries that lead to moon landing and mars exploration.
This is also an ideal setup to earn the Meiji Restoration as you will find plenty of time to have all the districts built in all your cities. Just make sure to have plenty of food for growth
