Duck Detective: The Secret Salami (4.0 stars out of 5)
My personal opinion: This game has a lot going for it. I would be remiss to not talk about the voice acting first. These voice actors went hard, almost as hard as Phil Collins went for Tarzan. As a result the characters felt full of life.
The main game mechanic is deducktives. You need to investigate the current scenario to gain access to keywords that let you make your deducktions. It succeeded in making me feel like a detective having to piece together what happened.
I wish this game was longer. Ten dollars for a 2 hour long game doesn't feel great. That being said I do hope the Happy Broccoli Games team makes a sequel to this game. If they do make a sequel I hope they make the world bigger.
I wrote this review a while ago, and right before posting this I discovered they are making another duck detective game with a release date of 2025.I'll be curious to see if they expand upon a good start with Duck Detective: The Secret Salami.
