I'm writing this just after finishing the game and I'm blown away! What a wholesome and fun game. You play as Smushi who gets lost in the forest and has to find its way back home. You'll meet many other characters who you can help out and in return, they will help you out by giving you new powers or making the powers you already have better. (This is vague on purpose to not spoil the story).

I just loved playing through Smushi Come Home! The gameplay is fun and not too challenging, the story is awesome and wholesome, and last but absolutely not least, it is fun to move through the world of Smushi. Getting upgrades that make gliding so much smoother makes me end up not only just jumping around the area but also using my glider a lot more than was necessary, just because it was fun to do. Not many games make moving around the world so much fun, the two that did it that I can think of are "Wavetale" and "Lil Gator Game" where I also felt like a child running and jumping around just because it is fun!

None of the achievements are missable, and most of them you'll unlock by just searching very well through each area. And mine every gem you can find for the 400 gems achievements, which can be considered a little bit grindy but I had no problems with getting it before finishing the game. For some things you have to go back to previous areas, but you can consider doing this after finishing the game because you get the option of teleporting to the different areas after finishing the game.

Smushi Come Home surprised me with its launch during the Wholesome Direct showcase, which made me instantly hyped for the game, and it didn't disappoint at all. I'm in love with how cute this game is, it was a treat to play through it.
