Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition (PC) - Achievement - Shut Up La Hire!
Defeat the French army before capturing Joan of Arc in the mission "The Maid Falls".
You begin with a sizable army and some Bombard Cannons. Protect your cannons and use them to lower the nearby castles HP to 1000 or less - This will bring the surrounding village under your control.
You now have time to build up your economy. Shortly after taking the town, another nearby town (Soissons - Grey) will give you a mission to build a Market in their town. There is a small Compiegne (Teal) force separating you so destroy them and build the Market. Shortly after you have done this, you will be given another mission by them to tribute 1,000 gold to them in exchange for spy information. Do this and it will reveal the majority of information on the map (as if you had researched Spies). This will reveal a large French Army (Yellow) settlement in the South across a river. This is what you must destroy entirely before dismounting Joan of Arc and completing the mission.
There are plenty of resources on the map and given that they are next to a river, Cannon Galleons may also be helpful once you get close enough to build a Dock on the river.
After you have defeated The French Army, you can cross the bridge to the South and emerge next to Compiegne. Use Bombard Cannons to break the walls down and create a path to Joan, then take her down with your main army, unlocking the achievement and completing the level.
