You must not skip the prologue to get this achievement. The prologue is the bit with the droid, after you create your character, and before you wake up in a Bacta Tank. Follow the steps the game gives you, and don't ever pick skip. Here's the basic outline.
Go to the engine room and get a blaster and a buddy.
Destroy the door leading outside to the roof.
Go on the roof, and get some parts and use the missile to get a frag mine.
Use the parts to repair the travel computer.
Use the travel computer to get to the mining area.
Achievement!
