There are four starting characters in this game:

.Professor Archimedes de Quincy
.Frank Fairburne
.Nalangu Rushida
.Gracie Braithwaite

Whether you are playing solo or co-op, when you complete a level, you have the option to either continue or return to the menu. To switch your character, you need to return to the menu. At the menu, switch to a character you have not played as yet then continue on with the campaign. Once you've played a level with each of the four starting characters, the achievement will unlock.

If you accidentally continue without returning to the menu, you need to wait until the level starts to quit, and If you are playing co-op, coordinate with your partner to ensure that you play as each character.
