You start at Level 10 so this means you will have to Level up 15 times before you become a paladin or you have missed your opportunity and have to start a new game or load an old save. if your rushing the game your bound to become a paladin before reaching this level. Make sure you halt and start grinding levels before finish that mountain quest.
