You will unlock your first piece of robotic armor at echelon 7 rank 01 (VII) but you can get some pieces with challenges at echelon 5 (V) i got mine at echelon 5 rank 30, once unlocked equip a piece and start a MP match, you should get the achievement right away if not after the match when you start a new lobby.
AtebashIt's really easy to get one piece of gear once you reach Rank 5. Just use Spectre demon and get 5 glory kills (each kill by Spectre demon is a glory kill). Took me like 15 minutes after reaching Rank 5!
