It says my profile is private when it's not

This has been happening on and off for about a week now. It keeps saying my profile is private and then it will go away at some point. Side not my profile on steam has never been private. One of the mods said it was the scanner but it was fixed but now it's doing it all over again.

My profile is definitely not private, i´ve checked multiple times, both in the options of the steam client and in a browser, looking at my profile while not locked in

Same issue here and it also consumes Daily Free Scans without scanning which is very unamusing.

Yup, just got this for the first time today.

same here. My profile on steam has never been private and on a 1000+ day streak so i assume it's scanner glitch and all will be fine, I hope :)

Yep the scanner must be broke. My profile is public and it thinks it is private.

I just started having this issue for the first time this week.

as of today this is happening again where it is saying that I have a private profile when I don't, causing an irregularity.

I am trying to maintain a lengthy achievement streak so this might not be in good hands.

I have this bug for two days now.

Same issue here, believe it started either last night or today (10th/11th May). Profile settings checked the in Steam client and they match the example screenshot exactly.

Also having this issue. Had it once before, but I flipped the settings to private and back which then fixed it, but now it's been locked as private on this site for 3 days now, despite my settings not having changed in the interim.

Started having this issue on 13/05/2025, profile is public and hasn't been changed, but the scanner thinks it's set to private. Double-checked, it's 100% all public, so seems it's bugged or something.

You are all showing as public to me, yet I'm still listed as private. RIP The Streak.

Happening again for me as well.

This just popped up for me today. Last night when I was getting off I checked what I have left for a game and it scanned fine. Got on and finished the game earlier and then I scanned and it showed private. What I did to fix it was go in to the privacy settings. Even though everything I had matched perfectly, I set it all to friends only or private, gave it a few seconds, and then set it back to Public. After setting everything back to public I gave Steam's systems 5 or so minutes while I did other things. Came back here and rescanned and everything came back normally. Hopefully this helps anyone else who runs in to this.

Just got it back. gave it half an hour between changes, may have missed the check box...
