Unfortunately the Steam version of the game requires that you do ALL of the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Inside Line challenges.

One of these is at Daytona where you have to pass quite a few cars within 3 laps. Because the drafting is broken you cannot sling shot past a car, let alone a couple, and get behind another car to continue momentum. The way I did it was cutting through the pits at full speed and hoping to fit in between a couple cars without crashing. Many hours wasted until I got lucky.
The other is on one of the clockwise racetracks, not oval. You dont have enough fuel to finish so you have to draft, and also not get overtaken. I dont know if it is even possible, but my game messed up. The driver who was programmed to overtake me got stuck somehow, so I only had to coast along slow enough to not run out of fuel. Not sure if that bug is something you can rely on happening though.
You are going to be wasting around 100hrs hoping to get lucky on something that might not happen
