This will come over time. There really isn't much you can do to speed up this process other than playing the game as intended and making progress in you store. You can check your progress on the Manager Blackboard under the Statistics section. Once "Total Customers Served" is over 2,000 you are good.
The achievement will unlock after you close the store for the night after you have had your 2,000th customer.
