  You can mouse over creatures to see their weaknesses, if any.
  
  Using a slashing weapon (like a longsword) on a zombie seems to be the earliest you can get this.
  Demons are often weak to good damage that clerics can deal.
  Poets are weak to sonic.
  Fire mephits and elementals are weak to cold.
