Basic advice for making the game easy:
The difficulty doesnt scale with your level, but only with time.
And the way it scales is buy adding a few types of stronger enemies but mostly the amount of enemies.
Its also very important to change your Mining gadget.
Dont use the default gadget but the one you have to trigger yourself.
You do that by clicking on "New Game" -> "Mode" -> Change Gadget to "Expanding Trigger"
That way the area where you can walk and spawn enemies can be influenced by you.
Making it easier to run from one drill to the next, withouth triggering too many enemies.
When you reach a drill, hold the button to clear all cells, and use the drill to smash as many enemies as possible when it lands

But if you dont want "lone wolf" at the same time, then you can ofc upgrade your character in the Workshop
