You have to find the plastic cheese and put it on the mousetrap in one of the corners. You can find the cheese on the table after you burn the oven in "In the Kitchen." Soon after you place the cheese on the mousetrap, it will make a click sound and the cheese will be replaced with a dead rat. Let me know if this helped.
