On my YouTube channel I've created a couple of gameplay walkthrough videos covering Chapter 9 of this game.
This is another very easy chapter. There are only a few stealth segments to get through. You are allowed to explore a large open area at the start of this chapter. I recommend doing this as there are a number of chests with crafting materials for your gear and alchemy recipes.
At 35 minutes into the part 10 video we enter a door to the Child of Embers bedroom. From this point on there are a number of items you can interact with in the rooms you proceed through. You'll need to interact with all of these to unlock the Old Protector achievement.
