Toward the end of the first chapter, after receiving the second communication from Anna through your window (the first is a brick, the second a rock), you are given instructions to head to the basement to escape...and if you want to do so, say goodbye to your parents. Before heading to the basement, talk to each of your parents to unlock the achievement.
