On EVERY level except the cut-scene levels you must click on the "boss" who sits in the upper left and click "tell me more" (it's the exclamation point). If the boss does not have a ! bubble next to them, then you've already asked them more.
You can go back to each level after you have completed them all and click on this, then just exit the level (that's how I got it)
