1. Walkthrough overview

Red String of Fate is a game that was developed by Ebullience Games and published by Top Hat Studios Inc. Released in 2017, this is a free to play, anime visual novel otome about love, fate and life. You play as Valerie, a college student who has the ability to see people's red strings of fate - the strings that connect them to their soul mates. For Valerie, her own string is so faint, it means her soul mate doesn't exist, or is far across the world. She wants to travel the world, see if she can find her soulmate - but there's a catch.

Her two friends, Aaron and Luke. What's a girl to do when she knows Aaron likes her, but she finds she slightly likes Luke?

This walk through will show you what options to choose on all four routes that Valerie can choose to take in order to get achievements and to take control of her own fate.

2. General hints and tips

Red String of Fate has a lot of text where you have opportunities to simply skip ahead, or read them. Personally, I found it easier to speed up the skip text and let it skip ahead to the next decision, however, if you want to read the whole story as it goes ahead, rather than skimming, that's fine! It won't affect getting the achievements at all, just your play time.

Skipping all the dialogue brings the playtime to about half an hour.
Not skipping and reading it all brings the playing to just above an hour.

3. Story walkthrough

Firstly, this walkthrough is going to focus on the achievements with Aaron.

The first achievement this walk through is going to focus on is Chased After Your Fate. To do this, you have to decide to go and find your soul mate without Aaron or Luke, and to risk never finding them at all. To do this:

• Save at the option to go to the party or not [Save File: 1]
• Go with Aaron to the party
• He deserves better
• Don't respond seriously
• I want to travel around the world
• Might as well, if it makes him happy
• That'd be awesome
• Love is the best passion
• Save after making this choice [Save File: 2]
• He must be mistaken
• Just lie and deny that anything's wrong
• My Soulmate

After a short amount of story after these choices, Chased After Your Fate will unlock.

Went searching for your soulmate alone and failed

The second achievement is the second achievement with Aaron - Creating Your Fate.

• Load save file 2

If you didn't save:

• Go with Aaron to the party
• He deserves better
• Don't respond seriously
• I want to travel around the world
• Might as well, if it makes him happy
• That'd be awesome
• Love is the best passion

After loading / following the above route, make the following choices:

• Maybe...
• Admit that something's been bothering me, but that I can't elaborate on it
• Aaron's happiness

Again, after a short amount of story and dialogue, Creating Your Fate will unlock, and that's the end of the Valerie and Aaron achievements.

The third achievement is the first achievement in the Luke section - this is Searching for Your Fate

Searching For Your Fate

The last achievement in the game, and the second achievement for Luke is Letting Go of Fate. To get this achievement:

• Load save file 3

If you didn't save:

• Pretend you didn't notice Aaron's behaviour
