Saints Row: Gat out of Hell

Welcome to the walkthrough for Saints Row: Gat out of Hell. This game should take you about 20-25 hours to complete if you spend your time wisely; some people finish everything else quickly and have to keep the game running to meet the 20-hour minimum for an achievement. Although it's considered a fairly quick game, there's a hell of a lot of stuff to do in New Hades. Like Saints Row: The Third and Saints Row IV, there's a long list of challenges for you to complete, which is where most of your time will be spent.

The story is quite short, but should still be satisfying to any Saints Row fan. The gameplay is similar to that of Saints Row IV, so if you prefer the more natural gameplay of the first half of the series, you won't find much of it here. Additionally, if you have save data of Saints Row IV, the game will take that data and transfer your character into the game as a nice little bonus. There's not much else to say, as the main objectives of the games are very straight-forward, so once you read up on the general hints and tips, get ready to go to work.

As you play through the game, stay on top of the available unfinished challenges and work on them as you do other things, like finding collectibles. Setting the difficulty to Casual (which you can do at any time) will not affect any achievements, so you may as well do this to make everything easier.

There are three missable achievements that you need to be well aware of, and you should do these as soon as you can. There's also no need for any sort of collectibles map, as the Collectible Finder upgrade will reveal all of them to you. You'll have to grind for money at some point when playing the game, which will prove to be a very draining task; more on that is on the Challenges page, in the Weapons section.

Now that you know these bits of information, you should be fully ready to take on the fifth installment in the Saints Row series.

Jane Austen, introduced as an actual side character from the events of Saints Row IV, will narrate points of the story that take place in the large book that everything takes place in. The story starts at Kinzie's birthday party; she's never had one before, but everyone has a lot of fun regardless. Matt Miller gets the idea of using a Ouija board for fun, and asks the board if the President will ever get married. Shaundi asks who he'll marry, and the board responds with Jezebel, promptly leading up to the President being sucked into hell. After threatening the Ouija board itself, Johnny and Kinzie get sent to hell to search for the boss.

Welcome to Hell

The first thing you'll see in Hell is a billboard for the Ultor Corporation, which can't be a good thing. Steal a car from a dead husk nearby and then set your map to the Ultor building, so you know where to go by looking at the minimap. Inside the building is Dane Vogel, president of the company. After the three of them talk, it's revealed that, due to the destruction the boss has caused in their life, Satan wants them to marry his daughter, Jezebel. Gat's given the cracked halo of Lucifer, which will provide him powers similar to the superpowers in the previous game. Collect some soul clusters on the small island you appear on after talking with Dane. With these four clusters, you can buy some super spring and flight powers that you can use to get around. Test them out by jumping to the various islands marked on your screen; once you reach the last of the islands, Dane will fill you in on what to do next.

To attract Satan's attention, you'll need to cause mayhem throughout New Hades by doing activities, going on killing sprees, and other objectives in the quest log, inside the main menu. Now that you can freely run around hell, it'd be a good idea to either collect as many soul clusters as you can, or to gain some new allies in the underworld. Check the map first, where you'll see various red and blue markers; these are activities, and you can complete them to wrestle small portions of New Hades out of Satan's control. These can be made easier if you upgrade your Super Sprint and Flight as much as you can, so check the arcane upgrades list for some new and recently unlocked powers. Once you've decided what you want to do next, check the quest log and start it. If you decide to go for soul clusters first, you should try to get five in a row without touching the ground (made easier with a better Flight ability) for a missable achievement.

  • Cluster Luck

There are four places to go to, where you'll find people who will ally with you in your cause to kill Satan. Go to them in any order you please to not only increase your numbers, but also gain more powers for your halo.

Charge Halo

The DeWynter sisters have been constantly under attack since they were both killed in Steelport; this is mainly because other strong business forces felt threatened by their success in the management world. Kill the few waves of demons that appear to safely bring them back to Dane in the Ultor Building, where they'll be offered 1/5 of the total revenue earned by taking down Satan. You'll also get the Blast power, which lets you launch balls of energy with various effects toward your foes. This first effect turns them into stone, which you can then shatter. Complete the nearby tutorial on Summons as part of the Arcane Lessons quest, so you don't have to come back here for it later.

Blackbeard will be aboard his ship, the Queen Anne's Revenge, when his ship has been boarded by imps. Shoot them with weapons, and more will show up from below decks. Grab God's Hammer from the chest at the stern, and use it to wipe out the rest of the little brats. These imps were actually summoned by Blackbeard himself, but they turned against him due to their natural hectic state. Once you save him and his ship, he'll agree to join the cause to kill Satan, but only because he's interested in the money he has. You'll also get the Summons power, which will allow you to summon imps of your own. Complete the nearby tutorial on Summons as part of the Arcane Lessons quest, so you don't have to come back here for it later.

Enter a prison where the marker to rally your next ally tells you to go. After a short walk in, you'll find a mental ward playing "The Wheels on the Bus". Poor Vlad the Impaler is stuck in the room, and will pass out due to the fatigue caused by the song and the room he's in. Quickly run over to him and revive him, then help him kill all of the demons holding him captive. Once the whole area is cleared out, there should be one enemy left: the DJ. He'll be jamming out hard in the booth on the highest level of the room. After turning off the music, you and Vlad will return to his castle, where he'll provide vital intel on Satan to the team. You'll also get the Aura ability; the first element you can use is Coldfire, which will set enemies on fire. Complete the nearby tutorial on Summons as part of the Arcane Lessons quest, so you don't have to come back here for it later.

Enter the Tempest, where William Shakespeare himself will become interested in the fact that you, a mortal, are walking around hell. He'll want to test your skill, so defeat the very weak amounts of enemies that appear. One enemy, the dark inciter, will be new to you. You'll have to shoot at its shield (or use a Blast attack) until you'll be able to hit him directly. It seems Shakespeare was cast out from Satan's palace for secretly tutoring Jezebel and re-enacting his old plays. To prove his loyalty to the cause, he'll give you the Stomp ability. Complete the nearby tutorial on Summons as part of the Arcane Lessons quest, so you don't have to come back here for it later.

Take a Break

After bringing your allies together, Dane Vogel will let you know that he found a very nice chair that he thinks you'd like. Head to its general location in the slums and look for a comfy recliner on a roof. It'll be a bit hard to spot, hidden in plain sight in front of a TV and next to a set of barrels that prop up a wooden plank to hold drinks on. Sit down, and you'll get one of the Seven Deadly Weapons, the Armchair-A-Geddon.

Musical Number

Once you hit Lv05 with your Saint after getting enough XP, you'll be treated with a musical number performed by Satan, Jezebel, Kinzie, and even Johnny. After you experience this masterpiece, Satan will plant over 20 spires around New Hades that shoot missiles at you when you're flying; this is obviously a problem. To disable one for good, you'll have to rip its heart out from the ground. Make sure you get the Top Gunner achievement out of the way before you destroy all of them, though. More detail on that achievement is on the Misc Achievements page.

Operation: Rescue

Once you reach Lv10 with your Saint, Dane will call you over to the Ultor Building to meet a special guest. Jezebel will have come over to join Johnny in his quest to defeat her father. After Jezebel returns home, all of your friends will be captured by demons. Fly over to the places they're being held hostage at and free them by defeating the surrounding enemies. The main targets are the dark inciters keeping everyone in place; kill them and revive your homie, and the objective will be finished.

Crash the Wedding

At Lv15, Jezebel will be ready to sneak you into the palace. After Satan threatens to break Jezebel's neck, Gat will lay down his arms. The devil will take this as an act of love for his daughter, and will say that if Gat were to marry his daughter, he would return the President's soul. Johnny, a man of action, would much rather fight Satan instead of marrying a girl. Head to his balcony when you're prepared and get ready for a fight. I personally prefer using a souped-up Armchair-A-Geddon, as well as a strong Stone Blast.

Use whatever methods you like to take a large chunk of Satan's health away from him. When he's at about 60% health, he'll duplicate himself to make it harder to find him. After finding the real one, he'll send some enemies after you as he protects himself in a shield. Defeat the enemies to coax him out of his protection, and the cycle will repeat. Once Satan reaches 40% and 20% health, he'll use copies in an attempt to fool you once more. Taking his health down to these levels is still quite a lot of work, even with strong weapons, so chipping away at his health will take longer than you think.

After finally depleting all of Satan's health, run up to him and punch him in the face. After experiencing a humiliating defeat, Satan will banish Kinzie, Jezebel, and the President back to the mortal world. Johnny, though, has been stopped midway through the process by God, who says He owes him a favor for stopping Satan from invading heaven. You'll be able to choose from one of five endings; if you've played the first two Saints Row titles, one of these options should be more pleasing to you than the others. Choose whichever ending fits your fancy, and watch the cutscene that plays out the ending you chose. After it plays, the credits will roll (you can skip these if you want) and you should get the second of two story-based achievements.

When you go to the main menu, you'll see an upgrades menu in the lower left. These upgrades cost Wages instead of soul clusters; once again, it's recommended only to buy the Collectible Finder and the two Wages upgrades, and save the rest of your money on weapon upgrades until you've obtained them all.

All of the challenges can be seen in the quest log, and are listed in categories for your convenience. Many of these will come naturally as you work towards other achievements in the game, but some can require a lot of grinding if you aren't careful about things. For a start, don't spend any currency on normal upgrades (except the Collectible Finder, Scavenger, and Wage Bonus upgrades) until you've fully upgraded all of the twenty available weapons. If you have the bonus weapon, the Jester's Skull, don't bother using it at all if you want to complete this game as fast as you can.

Activities

To make gold medal constraints easier, buy some of the Activities upgrades if you have any spare cash. You should still focus on saving money for all the weapon upgrades as first priority, though.

ChallengeObjectives & Tips
Gold Medals in HellblazingHellblazing Activities will ask of you to fly through a course of checkpoints in a specific time frame. Upgrading your Flight abilities makes getting these eight gold medals a lot easier.
Gold Medals in Torment FraudLike Insurance Fraud in the past Saints Row games, you have to toss yourself into objects, cars, etc. to rack up more insurance money. These should be easy without any upgrades. Try to hit five cars in a row without touching the ground for an achievement; you can replay Torment Fraud as much as you like to try again.
Gold Medals in MayhemAll you have to do here is cause mass amounts of destruction. These should be easy to complete, but weapon upgrades help a lot if you're having trouble.
Gold Medals in SalvationSalvation is a new type of activity, where you'll be flying around, saving souls from Satan's grasp. Better Flight powers will make these three gold medals a lot more reasonable to attain if you're having trouble.
Gold Medals in AllThis challenge will be completed as you complete the other Activities challenges.

Diversions

Diversions are side missions that are similar to Activities, but can't be replayed. Be careful about extraction facilities; you'll want to pop the missable achievement as soon as you can.

ChallengeObjectives & Tips
Complete All Pledge Rush DiversionsA bunch of college students have been sent to hell, and like usual, they're making too much noise. Whack them into the goals with the Tri-Omega to get enough points to finish the diversion.
Convert Marshalling GroundsThese are small missions where you have to charge objects in the marshalling grounds with your own power to lure out an archduke. Killing him will let you convert the entire place to your own influence, allowing you to fast travel there whenever you're not in a fight. This will earn you the deadly weapon Uriel's Edge; use one of the marshalling grounds to fast travel inside Satan's secret chamber to find it.
Control All Extraction FacilitiesThis type of diversion consists of standing in three areas inside an extraction facility until you have full control of all three at once. Enemies that appear in each facility are actually limited, so you can focus on them first before taking over a point. Keep a motorcycle at the last point, and stay on it as you take the last point for the missable achievement Terminal Hog.
Complete All Survival DiversionsSurvival diversions are marked on the map like activities, and all you have to do is defeat the rest of the enemies.
Collect Blackbeard ChestsFive of Blackbeard's treasure chests are scattered throughout New Hades. Finding them is made trivial with the Collectible Finder. After finding all five, you'll earn the deadly weapon Boom Chicka.
Rampage CrushesOne of the vehicles that appear more frequently at higher instances of notoriety, the Sinterpol Predeceptor is a large monster truck that can destroy other cars when running into them. Do this 100 times to finish this challenge.
Rambulance KillsHijack a Rambulance; you may have seen one hitting pedestrians at some point already, and you're going to have to do the same to at least 200 husks.
Kill DexDex, from the first two Saints Row games, has been killed after the events of Saints Row 2, and has rightfully ended up in hell. Kill him at least seven more times as revenge for his actions against the Saints, which will also give you the deadly weapon Gallows Dodger.
Armored Cars ReclaimedAfter meeting up with the twins, they'll ask you to take back at least ten of their stolen armored cars, which are being driven throughout the underworld. Hijack one and take it to the point marked on your map to reclaim it.
Complete AltarsAltars require you to use a specific power on them in order to be activated, and once you complete the objective, you earn a new element for that power. Set all four of your powers to different elements at once to get an achievement.
Disable SpiresOnce you reach Lv05, spires will appear around New Hades, which shoot missiles at you when airborne. Disabling them is quite easy, but try to hold off on that to make Top Gunner a lot easier; get that achievement out of your way as soon as you can so you can disable all the spires without worry.
Drained RescuesAs part of the story, you'll have to rescue your five allies, who are all guarded by a horde of enemies.
Balls of FireComets are the small white vehicles that explode after being driven a little bit. It'll be pretty hard to hijack one, but once you do, try not to run into anything for a long time to build up the distance you need to complete this challenge.
Find Barnstorming LocationsBarnstorming locations are practically everywhere; just look for anything that you can fly under, like an archway, or the paths inside broken buildings. Flying through 75 different locations will be a bit of a pain though, so work towards it early as you complete other objectives.

Arcane Powers

All of the arcane powers and their elemental variants have a challenge of some sort tied to them. Completing these will give you some achievements as well.

ChallengeObjectives & Tips
Testicular ManslaughterUse melee attacks to hit demons in the crotch, but only when holding a weapon.
Distance Super SprintedThis should come naturally as you run around, doing other things.
Halopowered BeatdownsThese are melee attacks done when you're not using a weapon.
Flight TimeSpend thirty minutes of time when flying. Although this may seem like a long time, it should pass by very quickly as you look for soul clusters.
Coldfire Aura IgnitesAll you've got to do is use this initial Aura power on enemies 200 times. You'll get an achievement for getting halfway through this challenge.
Vamp Aura LifestealThis is an elemental change to the Aura ability, which steals life from nearby enemies. Kill 100 demons with this different ability.
Worship Aura TargetsThe third elemental change unlocked for Aura. Simply use the power around enemies to make them bow down to you; you'll need to do this 200 times, but this is the least time consuming of the three aura challenges due to your Super Sprint ability allowing much better use of the time your aura lasts.
Stone Blast ShattersUse your standard blast attack to turn demons into stone, then shatter them with weapons or melee attacks. This will also give you an achievement.
Soul Blast KillsA different variation of the blast power; use it to kill 100 enemies. You won't have to shatter anyone this time.
Shadow Blast KillsLike the Soul Blast, you won't need to do much more than use this power against enemies in order to kill them. You'll need to kill 100 with this element as well.
Force Stomp TossUse your standard stomp attack to launch enemies in the air; do this 200 times for the challenge, and an achievement will pop at 150 times.
Vacuum Stomp CollectsThe vacuum stomp attracts enemies, money, and other objects, which is very useful for grinding money when using the Diamond Sting weapon. Since you'll likely have to grind for money at some point, 200 item collects with this power should come naturally as well.
Holy Stomp KillsLike the Force Stomp, this power will kill enemies. Kill another 200 with this element for the third Stomp challenge to be completed.
Summon Imp KillsUse this power to summon a group of imps, which will latch onto enemies and eventually kill them. This will give you an achievement, as well.
Summon Tower KillsThis version of Summon brings up a spire from the ground, the kind that fires missiles in the air. This type of spire, though, will fire at enemies even when they're on the ground. 150 kills with spires will take a long time to accomplish, though.
Summon Titan KillsThe third variant of Summon calls forth a titan to do your bidding. You'll need allied titans to kill 100 enemies over time.

Weapons

Almost all of these challenges require you to get certain amounts of kills with specific weapon; this is a breeze if you purchase the ammo and reload upgrades in the main menu with Wages, but since fully upgrading every weapon takes a ton of money already, you should focus more on the actual weapon upgrades first. This will save you a lot of time in the long run. To boost money, purchase the Diamond Sting, a deadly weapon, and kill husks or demons with it to create money; then suck all the change in with a Vacuum Stomp. Continue this process until you either spend money to wipe your notoriety, or an archduke/Professor Genki appears during the last wave of notoriety.

ChallengeObjectives & Tips
Energy Caster Lightning ArcsPurchase the ultimate upgrade for the Energy Caster, then fire a shot at one demon near other enemies to make the lightning arc between them. Getting 500 lightning arcs is a lot easier when there are more enemies around, so pull it out when you're confronted with lots of bad guys.
Tri-Omega Collision TargetsPurchase the ultimate upgrade for the Tri-Omega, which allows you to whack demons into other demons. You'll only need to do this a total of 30 times, so you won't be spending a lot of time with this weapon.
Lil' Croaker Tongued TargetsJust fire frogs from your Lil' Croaker, and they'll latch onto targets with their tongues and explode.
Last Supper Explosive KillsAfter finishing the challenge for visiting the three Tacos Malos around New Hades, you'll get this deadly weapon. Getting the required kills with it is much easier with the various weapon upgrades in the main menu.
Umbral Rifle Scoped KillsA standard sniper rifle. Kill 50 enemies with it when you're looking down the scope; if you get headshots, you can work towards another challenge.
Ark of the Covenant SiphonsYou can pick this deadly weapon up from Professor Genki, who occasionally appears at the highest level of notoriety instead of the usual archduke. Once he's dead, take the weapon from his body quickly, and then work towards siphoning 100 souls. You will, however, need to get a total of 250 kills with this weapon for an achievement.
Boom Chicka ArousalsThis deadly weapon is earned by opening all five of Blackbeard's chests in hell. Using it on an enemy will infatuate them towards something; create this effect on 150 different demons.
Mercenary LMG KillsA standard light machine gun. Get 100 kills with it.
Lava Cannon IgnitionsPurchase the ultimate upgrade for the Lava Cannon and use its new power on 100 different enemies to set them ablaze.
Soulsweeper KillsA standard shotgun. Kill 100 enemies with it.
Damned Impaler KnockbacksA souped-up shotgun that, after you buy the ultimate upgrade, can send demons flying. You'll have to do this to 75 enemies; killing them is not required, but there's not really a reason not to kill enemies.
Exodus 10 Swarm KillsThis weapon fires swarms of insects; kill 100 enemies with this plague to complete this challenge.
Brimstone Belcher Acid KillsPurchase the ultimate upgrade for the Brimstone Belcher, and then use the acid it sprays on 100 enemies.
Diamond Sting Wage DropsThe Diamond Sting, a deadly weapon, is available for purchase at any time for 100,000 Wages. This challenge requires you to make all of that money back with it, so fire away at enemies or husks (civilians) to create wage pickups. You'll have to grind some money by doing this for a lot of upgrades, anyway, so this challenge should complete as you work towards upgrading your other weapons.
RPG Vehicles DestroyedA standard RPG. Blow up 50 enemy vehicles with it.
Armchair-A-Geddon Missile KillsYou get this deadly weapon during one of the story missions; once you have it, pull the recliner level to launch missiles at nearby demons. You need to get 100 missile kills for the challenge, but for an achievement, you need 250 kills total with this weapon.

God's Hammer Smite Kills

Once you get this hammer from the story, purchase the ultimate upgrade and smite 100 foes with its heavenly might.

Uriel's Edge Kills

This deadly weapon is unlocked by converting all five marshalling grounds, then using one to fast travel to a secret area inside Satan's tower. Pick up the weapon and test it out, then kill 100 enemies with it.
.45 Fletcher KillsA standard pistol. Kill 100 enemies with it, preferably with headshots, so you don't have to use more ammo than you have to.
Gallows Dodger Overkill KillsCharge this deadly weapon by hitting enemies with it, and after it's charged, it'll go into overkill mode. You'll need to get 100 kills when it's in this mode.
One Hit KillsStrong weapons, like the Gallow's Dodger, Uriel's Edge, and God's Hammer should kill most enemies in one hit, especially on Casual difficulty.
Headshot KillsWhen you're working on the Umbral Rifle challenge, or practically any other weapon challenge, aim for the head to perform a headshot. You only need 30 of these for this challenge.
Explosive KillsThis should come naturally with explosive weapon types, so don't bother grinding this one out unless you somehow didn't get it from the explosive weapons' challenges.
Seven Deadly WeaponsAll seven deadly weapons' methods of unlocking have been mentioned in their respective challenge. These weapons are the Diamond Sting, Uriel's Edge, Armchair-A-Geddon, Gallows Dodger, Boom Chicka, Last Supper, and the Ark of the Covenant. All you need to do is acquire them, but you will need at least 25 kills with each one for an achievement.
Fully Upgrade All WeaponsThis will require a massive amount of Wages, and to prevent yourself from spending a few hours solely grinding on money after all the other challenges have been completed, you should spend money only on the Collectibles Finder, Scavenger, and Wage Bonus upgrades in the main menu. The rest of your money should go directly into weapon upgrades. To grind for money, use the Diamond Sting on anything that lives (including civilian husks) and then collect your money with a Vacuum Stomp attack. You'll get an achievement for upgrading one of the twenty weapons to maximum potential.

Enemies

Most of the enemy challenges will be completed as you work on weapon challenges; to find bro and tragedy demons, you should grind kills in Shantytown and The Den.

ChallengeObjectives & Tips
Destroy Demon VehiclesDo this with the Ultor RPG to kill two birds with one stone, as that weapon's challenge requires you to destroy 50 vehicles with it. You can destroy the other 100 you need in any way you choose.
Kill Sin OrbsAfter progressing through the story, yellow sin orbs will appear from time to time, moving at high speeds towards an escape. Run up to them and grab them before they can get away to destroy them.
Kill Dark IncitersThese are the flying wizard-like enemies that appear as you cause mayhem. This should come naturally as you grind out the weapon kill challenges.
Kill DemonsJust kill 1,000 enemies of any kind; all of the other challenges that require you to kill enemies will work towards progressing this as well.
Kill ArchdukesThese behemoths appear in marshalling grounds, but also appear more likely than not at maximum notoriety levels. You need to kill 10 for the challenge, but killing 25 will give you an achievement. Try to make the killing blow on one of them a melee attack for another achievement.
Kill GrenadiersA different type of the standard demon, which has an annoying grenade attack. Killing 50 will come quickly.
Kill Satan's Top AgentOnce at the maximum amount of notoriety, Satan will occasionally send his best man after you, instead of the usual archduke. This monstrosity is none other than Professor Genki, who will really put up a fight with his deadly weapon, the Ark of the Covenant. Once he's dead, pick this weapon up from his body to add it to your collection.
Kill Shadow DemonsOne of the varieties of the standard demon, the shadow demon has the ability to teleport if you get close. You'll have to kill at least 50 of them from long range.
Kill ImpsImps will appear in groups as you bring your notoriety level up to grind for money or archdukes; killing 100 of them should be no sweat, especially with the Stomp superpower. When you're working for this, hold off on killing them until five are latched onto you at once for an achievement.
Kill LegionnairesThese large brute demons appear at the fifth level of notoriety, and look similar to the archdukes, but don't have swords. Sometimes, you'll find some legionnaires guarding Sex as he moves around New Hades. You'll need to kill 30 total, which will be a bit of a hassle.
Kill Bro DemonsThese are the frat party demons that appear in the Pledge Rush diversions; after playing the diversions, you can find very small amounts of bro demons in Shantytown at the second level of notoriety.
Kill Tragedy DemonsTragedy demons wear white tragedy masks, and can be found in The Den. Their spawning works like the bro demons' system does, so you'll only be able to find a few of them during notoriety level 2.
Destroy Sinterpol TanksAs your notoriety increases, large tanks will be sent in from Satan's army to try to stop you. Wreck 40 of them to complete this challenge.

Miscellaneous

These last challenges are very standard, and a vast majority of them are tied to achievements, so you'll be be getting a lot of these throughout normal gameplay. The only things you should ever have to potentially grind in the miscellaneous list is vehicle distance, as the rest of the challenges are marked off for simply completing the game.

Some, however, aren't part of the standard takeover areas, so you'll just have to fly to them on your own from the mainland. Look around the edges of New Hades for undiscovered hoods.
Visit All Three Tacos MalosThere are three taco shops around hell for you to stop by. Completing this challenge gives you the Last Supper deadly weapon, as well.

Gat - Find All CommentariesAs Johnny Gat, there are 30 commentary spots located all around New Hades; when you reach a marked spot on the map, Gat will say something about the view, the place you're at, etc. These are only available to you when playing as Gat, so if you're usually playing as Kinzie, you'll have to switch over to him in the Ultor Lobby to find these.

Online/Offline - These achievements can be obtained in either an online or offline game mode.Single Player - These achievements can be obtained by a single player.Cooperative - These achievements can be obtained by two or more players in a cooperative game mode who have met the achievement requirements.

There are quite a few achievements that you won't naturally get when completing the game, which are listed here. It's highly suggested that you get the Cluster Luck, Terminal Hog and Top Gunner achievements out of the way as soon as you can, because they're missable and you don't want to worry about it any longer than you have to. Any achievements not listed here are tied to a challenge, which has the description of how to get the achievement in their respective challenge.

The first missable achievement is Cluster Luck; you need to collect five soul clusters without touching the ground. Although this is classified as missable, the achievement should pop when you pass through a set of red clusters (hitting the first one creates a path to more) that give you five clusters once completed.

The second achievement, which you can take care of as soon as you can roam around New Hades, is to be on a motorcycle while taking over the last point in an extraction facility. Take the bike inside, leave it at one of the points, and kill all the enemies. Then take over the two other points, and hop on the bike as you take over the last one. Doing this will give you Terminal Hog.

The third missable achievement is Top Gunner. After reaching Lv05 in hell, tall spires will appear and shoot missiles at you when you're flying in the air. Acquire the Blast power from the story and use it to hit a missile before it hits you to get the achievement. You can also do this with your own summoned spire, but why not get it out of the way as soon as the spires appear?

Online/Offline - These achievements can be obtained in either an online or offline game mode.Single Player - These achievements can be obtained by a single player.Cooperative - These achievements can be obtained by two or more players in a cooperative game mode who have met the achievement requirements.

There are a few achievements related to the small white car, the Comet, which is very prone to exploding. Head to the Ultor Building and open all four front doors, then wait for a Comet to pass by and use Coldfire Aura to freeze the driver until he shatters. Take the car and drive it into the lobby. Be careful about where you go, because moving too far away from the Ultor Building will make the front doors close again. You can always find a Comet on the streets just outside the building.

Once that's out of the way, you'll have to jump onto the roof of a Comet, most easily done when you find one at an intersection when it's not moving. Jump onto it and initiate a car surfing diversion; when it explodes with you on it, you'll get another achievement.

This next group of achievements is very easy. All you have to do for the first two is stand in lava until you die, and knock a vehicle into the lava. It can't be one that you're driving, though. The third of the super-simple achievements only asks that you can run up walls; do so ten times so that your head hits the roof, or some piece of the building above you. Finally, make sure you have one or all of the health upgrades (more is better) and stand in the lava once more until ten seconds pass.

  • Soft Shoe

Online/Offline - These achievements can be obtained in either an online or offline game mode.Single Player - These achievements can be obtained by a single player.Cooperative - These achievements can be obtained by two or more players in a cooperative game mode who have met the achievement requirements.

You also need to play co-op mode with someone who has the same console version of the game as you; 360 and One cannot play together. If you both have wired controllers, you can let the game sit idle for the entire time. It's highly suggested that you do this as soon as you can, because any soul clusters that your partner grabs that you don't already have will count for both of you. With two Saints flying around New Hades looking for soul clusters, the amount of time spent searching for them is reduced dramatically. You also have to play the game in either single player or co-op mode for a total of 20 hours.

There are a few achievements related to flying, as well. Find an area where a lava-fall is easily accessible, then fly into it and continue flying until you extinguish yourself. You'll want to fly for 500 meters while on fire, which won't take very long at all. You also need to fly for 250,000 meters total, but that distance should rack up quickly as you complete challenges. Flying for 60 seconds straight will grant you another achievement; make sure you have as many Flight upgrades as you can before attempting that, though. That minute will count towards the ten-minute total that you need to stay airborne for. Once you hit ten minutes, you'll be given yet another achievement.

  • The Wings of Angels

Be airborne during Supernatural Jumps or Flight for a combined 10 minutes of gameplay

    The Wings of Angels

The next achievement, if you want to do it quickly, will require both the Imp Summon and the Stomp powers. Summon a group of imps, then use Stomp (or weapons) to kill them. You'll need to kill 50 of your own imps total, so this may take a while.

As a pirate, Blackbeard has been in several stories and other media due to his historic notoriety. One of these stories is Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and the next achievement pays tribute to that game. Jump to the tallest mast of the Queen Anne's Revenge to unlock your elusive fortune.

The last of the miscellaneous achievements requires you to fly from the roof of Snowball's Chance all the way to Sinterpol HQ's roof without stopping for a break. The Snowball's Chance is a white building located in the northeast, while the HQ is in the southwest. the video below shows you how to do this if you want a more visual guide on where these two points are located. Make sure you have as many Flight upgrades as you can before you try to get this achievement; you may as well be as prepared as possible.
