Mirt. Tales of the Cold Land. Chapter one

Mirt. Tales of the Cold Land is an increasingly popular game on Steam. Unfortunately, most of the walkthroughs for this game are in Russian, leaving other players completely stumped when the English translation was released.

As with any visual novel, with Mirt. Tales of the Cold Land, you can either go through the story and read it, or you can skip through and ignore the story. My personal recommendation would be to read the story, as this is one of the most intriguing ones I have ever read.

During your first playthrough, do the following to earn the first three achievements of the chapter:

Click on the cards and then click on the cards one by one in order to turn them over. Click on each card once for the explanations of what the cards mean and then to continue the story. After this, make the following choices:

• Don’t ask questions
• Go for him
• Leave
• Go with him

This will unlock the first achievement:

• Damn Good Coffee

  Visit the Moon Cafe

  
  

When the journal opens, click on the red 'x' that is the highest. It is important you click on the crumpled paper on the log before you continue the story, or you may miss it. Collecting these are vital to the next achievement.

After continuing the story, click on the red 'x' to the left of the journal and click on the crumpled paper on the right side of the house, again, before you continue the story.

After continuing the story again, click on the last red 'x', on the bottom right of the journal, and click on the crumpled paper to the left side of the fence.

After doing this, close the journal and you will earn a new achievement:

• Diary Of A Stranger

  Collect all the pages in Chapter 1

  
  

Continue on and finish the chapter, and the third achievement will unlock:

• Beginning of the End

  Complete Chapter 1

  
  

The second play through of this game is much shorter.

Click on the cards, and then click on the cards one by one in order to turn them over. Once again, click on them for explanations. Then, make the following choices:

• Don’t ask questions
• Stay in Mirt
• Stay
• Decline

This will unlock the last achievement of the chapter after a short amount of story

  Stay in the Campus

  
  

You can either follow this route to the end and then save it in another slot (which I would recommend, as we're not sure what achievements are coming with the second chapter), or just end the game here.
