Quantum Break

Welcome to the Quantum Break walkthrough. I'm your host, ManicMetalhead (or ManicMetalhead over on TrueAchievements).

Quantum Break is a third-person shooter, originally released back in 2016. The game centres on Jack Joyce, granted powers of time manipulation after a failed time-machine experiment that takes place in the first act. Jack comes into conflict with his former friend Paul Serene over how to deal with an apocalyptic End of Time scenario, created by a fracture in time.

What makes Quantum Break such an interesting game is the blend of features, especially an integrated live-action television show, featuring the actors of the characters, that you'll almost seamlessly drop in and out of while playing through the game. While it is mostly an action-oriented third-person shooter, you'll also have to take on more platform game elements in the less action-oriented segments.

Similar to games like Mass Effect, there are also junction points that affect the game's outcome depending on the choices you make (or don't make). As such, the characters in-game interact with your choices, displaying the results of the decisions made. You will also come across small collectables called Quantum Ripples that will slightly alter how the junction points play out, even if it's just the odd line in the TV show here or there.

I'm currently still plaything through this game myself, and I'll play along while writing this guide. I will try not to reveal too much, however, I will leave a spoiler warning here just to cover myself. If you don't mind spoilers, read on.

Overall, you should be able to complete the game in 15-20 hours, although some gamers have finished it in as little as 10-12 hours. It should only require one playthrough if you don't mind being particularly daring and going straight into the game on hard. Personally, I played this game in two playthroughs, and that is how this walkthrough is laid out. The first was on normal difficulty, finding all the collectables and all the other story filler items (that don't count towards achievements) and just generally enjoying the game and finding all I can, then the second, I rushed through on hard to mop up the remaining achievements.

When you reach the aforementioned junction points, the decision you make has achievements related to it. You can get both in a single playthrough, which I'll mention how to do on the next page. Also, the three difficulty-related achievements all stack, however, I recommend playing through on either easy or normal first, before attempting hard, just so it's easier to hunt collectables and work on achievements without having too much worry.

Quantum Break has junction points as I mentioned before, some have achievements related to each decision. In order to unlock both achievements in a single playthough, you can make one decision then wait for the achievement to pop. Once it does, you'll need to go to the menu and select "Restart from Last Checkpoint". After that you can just replay the scene and make sure you choose the other choice, allowing you to pop both in one playthrough. You can then repeat this if it's the decision you want to play the rest of the game with, or copy the method above to re-select the first option. However, if you're doing this in two playthroughs on different difficulties, you can just leave it and make sure you choose the opposite decision to your first run-through.

I personally did this in two different playthroughs, and that is how I've laid out this walkthrough.

Also, it should be noted that you should not turn your brightness up all the way. While this usually makes a game easier than it's intended to be, in Quantum Break, at many points in the game, you'll find yourself completely blinded. So in this instance, I'd suggest keeping it around medium brightness.

Throughout each act, there are a number of collectables that you have to collect, all of which are linked to an achievement. These collectibles include quantum ripples, narrative sources, intel and chronon sources. If at any point you accidentally miss one of these, simply pull up your timeline and you can get details on which collectibles you have and haven't found, however, if you follow this walkthrough, I'll make sure that these are all pointed out along the way, so hopefully you won't miss any. During the first act, you will also unlock a power called time vision. Once you have this, and you use it in an area, all collectables will glow orange for a few seconds. I will give the best descriptions possible for the location of every item, but if you get a little lost, just use time vision and you should be able to see the item(s) I'm describing.

A number of the achievements in this game are linked to the use of your abilities. While I have listed the places that I unlocked these, which are some of the best spots to grind out the achievements, many of them will likely unlock as you play the game, especially if you do two playthroughs and if you make the most of all of your abilities, rather than just your gun.

On to the guide!

Act 1

Part 1

You take the reigns of Jack Joyce, a native of Riverport returning home after a long time away due to a falling out with your brother. Paul Serene invites you back to Riverport to see what your brother Will and him have been working on. You'll start the game with a cutscene, which while you can choose to skip it if you so wish, I recommend watching them in order to pick up on the story.

Your eclectic cab driver drops you off at the steps on the University and you begin. As you begin walking forward, you'll get and take a phone call from Paul while wandering around. Don't wander too far, try to stay in this first area so you can get the collectables around here without having to double back on yourself. Once you regain full control of Jack, you'll want to do your first collectable hunt. There are quite a few in this area.

First up, look to your left and go over to the Riverport map (#1/16) and examine it for your first collectable. Advance through the walkway and inspect the Protest Flier (#2/16) on the table to your left. Continue on down the walkway until you see a noticeboard ahead on your left with one of three posters lit up. Inspect the lit up poster called "Stop Monarch Problems" (#3/16). Turn left and head on where you'll see another lit up noticeboard on your left. Examine this notice board for Sofia Amaral Seminar Poster(#4/16). Double back, go past the "Stop Monarch Problems" poster then head up the path to the left towards to statue in the middle. Next to the "Please Go Around" sign, you'll see a small camp chair with a radio on it, which will play the Bobby Radford Riverport Radio Show (#5/16).

Run around to the left and you'll find a large LLP sign and a girl, called Amy, standing next to it. Start up a conversation with her and you'll enter a cutscene, you can make any conversation choices you like. After the cutscene finishes, inspect the board just to her right for Amy's Monarch Timeline (#6/16). From here, head into a small tent just ahead. Inspect and turn on the TV which gives you the a video file called Return (#7/16). Head out of the tent and to your left, heading towards the Physics building (opposite direction from Amy). Before you head inside, inspect the two newspaper articles just to the left of the door; Dr Kim Memorial Article (#8/16) and the Paul Serene Focus Article (#9/16). Open the door and a cutscene will start where you meet Paul Serene. Once you gain control after this cutscene, head behind the reception desk and inspect the computer to get the email RE: William Joyce Clearance (#10/16). Head over to where Paul is standing to continue the story a little more. Follow him up the short ramp into the next room, but instead of following him in the lift (elevator), head past the lift and look to the right for another noticeboard. Here you'll find a Monarch Job Fair Poster (#11/16). Head back and enter the lift with Paul. On the next floor, as soon as the lift doors open, you'll see a presentation prepared straight ahead of you. Head to one of the front seats and interact with it to sit down and watch the presentation (on later playthroughs where you have already got all the collectibles, you can ignore this). Watching the presentation will not only give you the Project Promenade Presentation (#12/16) but it'll also give you your first achievement;

From here, follow Paul into the lab, down the ramps and then up into the control room. Just inside the door of the room, look to your right and you'll see a picture and a ram statue. Inspect the Photo of Jack and Paul (13/16), then at the left-hand side of the desk, inspect laptop for and email RE: Project Promenade Beta Test (#14/16). Paul will continue his story and will soon open the next door allowing you to continue. Follow Paul down the ramp, then on the left-hand side of the desk on your right, you'll find a PDA that contains another email RE: Coming Home? (#15/16). Continue to follow Paul and you'll see another board on the left just on from the PDA. Inspect this for the Corridor Schematics (#16/16). Follow Paul to the end of the corridor, then activate the core by interacting with it then pushing cn_LSu. Follow Paul back round to the first control room and he'll give you a key to activate the core from there, turn the key then follow Paul around a little more until you see a button you can press. Hit it and let the story unfold. and turn the key. Turn to set up the machine again, where Will will arrive. After a brief encounter Will will try to stop the machine, but something goes wrong. After this, you'll unlock;

When you regain control of Jack, turn left and head to the control room to try to speak with Will. Head back down to the core and try to get Paul out of the machine. During this cutscene a wave of Monarch soldiers, your enemies, will flood into the room and start shooting. Once you regain control, follow Will to the hatch he came in, then follow him for another cutscene to finish Part 1.

Part 2

Follow Will through the underground section, and on the way Will tries to explain what just happened to you, and you can also pick up some pistol ammo on the way. You'll reach a door that Will can't open which you'll have to interact with to bash your way through. This doorway leads to a server room. As soon as you walk in, you'll have to hide behind some of the servers and follow Will along a side passage to continue the story. Once you make it out the other side of this passage you'll regain full control of Jack. Head through the first door to re-enter the server room, but before you enter the open double doors to the right, head to the computer in the middle of the room and inspect it to get an email for Paul Serene Lab Clearance (#1/4). Leave the server room via the double doors and advance to the lab room. Here you'll be attacked by a few more Monarch troops and will be given a quick shooting tutorial. After this, keep to cover and wipe out the rest of the soldiers that come your way. Head over to their corpses and you can usually pick up and SMG as well as your pistol. Before you leave this room, head to the right side of the room. You should see a large whiteboard laying vertically against the glass. This is your first Quantum Ripple and also second collectible, which is linked to the TV show element of the game, and to a couple of achievements. Inspect the whiteboard and Will comes over and finishes the equation on the board, Quantum Ripple (#2/4).

Head onwards to the next room where a lift will come down. A few enemies will spawn from inside the lift, as well as from just beyond it. Wipe out these enemies the head towards the lift. Run around the left side of the lift and you'll come across a few sofas. On one of these sofas is another PDA containing the email FWD: Library Protest (#3/4). Run back around and enter the lift with Will and ride it down. Open the elevator door for a short cutscene, then when you can, unfreeze Will and exit the lift. While time is frozen, you can run up to the soldiers and take their weaponry right out of their hands. Just behind this first set of soldiers on the desk is another PDA with the final email in the level, called University Operation (#4/4) then continue with Will. You'll run past a load of frozen people and soldiers on the way, head forward and towards a building on the right, although if you get lost, simply let Will take point and follow him. Once in this building, you'll enter a closed door into a lecture hall where time will unfreeze. Head out the back of the lecture hall where Will offers you his car keys. Take Will's keys and open the door to head into the car park. Once outside, you'll unlock Time Vision, which is kind of like Eagle Vision from the Assassin's Creed series, allows you to locate enemies through structures and obstacles, as well as detect ammo and other useful items. Eliminate the enemies here and head to the back right of the car park. Find Will's car using the Time Vision for a short cutscene. Once the cutscene finishes, you'll be given access to Time Stop. Practice this new ability on the enemies that spawn in, then eliminate them all. Make your way back to the lecture hall. Just inside the door, you will meet Beth Wilder and unlock the next achievement;

Part 3

Once you re-enter the lecture hall, you'll find that Will has been captured. In order to find him, head to the front of the lecture hall and use your time vision to check for a time echo. You'll see an echo of Monarch Soldiers taking Will up the left set of stairs. Make your way up the stairs after them and open the door. You'll be introduced to your third ability here via a short cutscene, Time Dodge. Once you regain control, use Time Dodge in combination with your other powers in order to wipe out the enemies. Head on to the next room which is the cafeteria, where you'll be introduced to Focus Time. When you use Time Dodge, you can aim immediately after the dodge has finished, in order to slow down time for a few seconds. You can start making progress to another achievement here. Once you have an idea of how far you travel with a time dodge, get just within that range away from an enemy then time dodge into them. This will cause that enemy to recoil in front of you. If you do this, quickly aim to activate focus time, aim at their head and kill them with a headshot. You'll need to get 10 headshots like this. You may be able to get this in the cafeteria area if you're able, but if not, keep working on it over the game and you'll get it over time. You have the whole game to earn this one and you'll become more proficient with aiming in focus time as you progress through the game. Once you have all 10, you'll earn;

After wiping out all the enemies in the cafeteria, head outside. Head over to the gate that leads to the library to find that it's locked. Instead, head to the left of the area to where you find a raised platform, then a row of three Portaloos (the portable toilet cubicles) on top of the platform. Climb onto these then jump over the wall. Before continuing, head towards the barrel just in front of you and listen to the radio on the top for the Bobby Radford Riverport Radio Show (#1/1). Turn around and you'll see a series of makeshift platforms behind you. Climb up the first two then turn right. You'll see a blue scissor lift in front of you, which will drop down if you jump onto it. Instead, aim at it and use time stop to hold it in place. Quickly jump onto it then over to the other side. Go up the ladder ahead and climb into the building through the window. When you enter the main library area, you'll be introduced to Time Shield, which you can use to protect against and deflect bullets. Fight your way up to Will. Once you're with him, you'll be ambushed. Survive the ambush, and make full use of your power doing so, then make your way out of the library. There will be another cutscene as you try to leave, however, this is another with spoilers in it, so I'll leave this up to you. This is the end of Act 1, so you'll earn;

Junction 1

This is the first junction, where the choices you make have an effect on the storyline. In this first junction, you take control of Paul Serene. After a short cutscene, walk with Mr. Hatch. You can use time vision here to detect the three collectibles in this area. All three are located virtually next to each other. After going around the first two lorries, you'll come across two Monarch soldiers in yellow hazmat/ decontamination suits. Look behind where these guys are standing. On a box just before you get to them, find and inspect the Ram statue (#1/3). This is the second Quantum Ripple. On some crates just beyond this ram statue, and still behind the Hazmat soldiers, you'll find two more narrative items, the Will Joyce Dossier (#2/3), and the Jack Joyce Dossier (#3/3). Head onwards to where you'll see Amy knelt down. This is where you make your first decision. You'll be offered two choices here, PR or Hardline. There is an achievement for each choice. When you first select an option, a short cutscene will play out, telling you what will happen if you choose that option. After that cutscene finishes, you can choose to watch what would happen if you chose the other option, or can make you final decision on your choice. For this walkthrough, I chose PR. Different collectibles appear in the Hardline choice, so if you choose this, my walkthrough may not directly match up.

If you are doing as I suggested, choose PR, as I have. Since you'll be playing through again on Hard difficulty, you can simply choose the other option on your second playthrough.

Choosing PR will play out a short cutscene showing you what happens, where you'll be awarded;

This completes this first junction and will start the first episode of the Quantum Break TV show. Assuming you followed this guide and collected both Quantum Ripples in this level (the whiteboard and the ram), once the episode starts, you'll unlock;

Each TV show episode is around 25 minutes long, and although you can skip it if you wish, they are pretty good in my opinion and add even more info into the storyline in a unique way. After this episode finishes, you'll start Act 2.

Act 2

Part 1:

You'll start part 1 of Act 2 with a short cutscene, continuing the story from the end of the last chapter. As soon as you get full control of Jack, look ahead and to the right to see a white glow. Walk over to this, which is your first Chronon Source (#1/18). If you don't see a white glow here, activate your time vision to highlight it even more. Collecting these allows you to upgrade Jack's powers. Use it to upgrade Time Stop. Doing so nets you:

From here, turn around and head left to some boxes on the ground and a gap in the railings on the walkway above. Head along the walkway, out the door, then drop down through the gap. Head into the opening on your right up ahead. You'll see a crane holding some steel. Shoot at the pulley, which will drop the steel onto the crates ahead, allowing you to carry on. Head through the newly created gap and activate your time vision as you run through. Ahead and just to the right, you should find Chronon Source (#2/18). There are more achievements relating to upgrading powers, but following this guide you'll get all of them, so for now, I recommend upgrading time dodge. Head back over to the opening you just made and head left up the plywood ramp just in front of it. Follow the path upwards and at the top, hold cn_Y to revert the dropped steel and recreate your path for you, then for added measure, use time stop to get across. Carry on over the metal and planks until you drop down into a little room with a closed door. Make your way through the door. Once you're back in control of Jack, look to your left to see a laptop on a desk. Interact with the laptop for the next narrative email called Monarch PR Plan (#3/18), this is also the next Quantum Ripple (#4/18). Look left towards the noticeboard and read the Monarch PR Strategy Poster (#5/18). Turn left again and head towards the room exit. Just before you leave the room, examine the poster on the wall to the right for the last narrative piece in this room, Ground Zero Map (#6/18).

Make your way out of the room, and eliminate all of the enemies in the next area. If you haven't been able to get it yet, remember to try to work on getting headshots in focus time. Turn the generator on along the right side wall and head to lift. Take the lift up to the next level then head to the right. Run along the path then when you reach a pillar with a CCTV camera attached, activate your vision pulse. Here you should be able to see and collect your next Chronon Source (#7/18). Use this one to upgrade your time vision. Head out the door up ahead for a short cutscene, then go along the partially broken pathway. As you approach the window, you'll spy two Monarch thugs holding Amy hostage. The platform will collapse as you reach the end of it, alerting the guards. Take them down through the open window, then climb through that window to enter the room. Head over to Amy to start a conversation with her, and while that is going, make your way around the room. On the table just to the right of where Amy is standing, you'll find an Eye Drop Bottle (#8/18). As this is your first piece of collectable intel, you'll unlock;

From here, turn around and look at the window you came in, on the table in front of it will be a laptop that you can examine for RE: Ground Zero Operation (#9/18). Head over and exit the room with Amy. While Amy heads to the gates on the left, you need to head to the locked door on the right. Barge through and hit the gate controls on the left as you want in. Let Amy through the gate, after which it will close. Use the control panel to open it up again, then cast time stop on the gate and use time dodge to get through it before it shuts. Now follow Amy through the middle of some train carriages then look to your right. You'll see a set of boxes that allows you to climb into one of the carriages. Climb up the first set of boxes, head left and climb up a large pile of planks, where you'll see a yellow sheet hanging down. After climbing the planks, leap over to where the sheet is hanging, then activate time vision. Just to the left of you, you should find another Chronon Source (#10/18). Use this to upgrade your time shield. Head along this platform to the right and jump off onto the roof of another train carriage. Run down the carriage the jump onto the building rooftop on the left. Head forward and fall down the gap into the building beneath you. Activate time vision in this room and you'll find another Chronon Source (#11/18).

Climb back up the boxes and out onto the roof again. Jump back onto the train carriage roof and then head left. Jump off the carriage roof and head forwards towards another train carriage. head down the right side of this until you reach some more boxes (there should be some blue graffiti on the train carriage). Climb these boxes, then onto the carriage roof, jump onto the corrugated metal roof in front of you, then jump onto the train carriage that is just inside a fenced off area, ahead on your left. In the middle of this fenced off area on the floor, use time vision and you should find another Chronon Source (#12/18). Jump back onto the corrugated metal roof, then onto the train carriage. Instead of jumping down, look left and enter the walkway that crosses the train yard. On the other side, you'll have to run across some more corrugated metal. Part way along this will fall down. If you fall down with it, you'll have to run around again and get back to the top. Use time vision, and you'll be able to rewind time to bring the fallen metal back into place. Run across this before it falls down again (if you struggle here, you can use time stop to hold it all in place while crossing it). Continue to the end of the metal and climb into the open window on the left.

Drop down the hole in the floor, then open the door in the room below and let Amy in the door. Follow her over to the computer in the back of the room, and she'll play a video back, which is Amy's Confession Newscast (#13/18). You'll unlock this narrative piece as soon as it starts playing. Now look to the right of this computer and there will be another laptop on the boxes next to you. Interact with this for the email RE: Jack Joyce (#14/18). Turn around and look at the wall with the large screen on it. On the table in front of it is a radio, so interact with it for the audio file Internal Monarch Comms 1 (#15/18). Soon after this, Amy will open the door ahead for you. Head out this doorway and through a blue door ahead. Here, you'll be shown how to use Time Blast, and is also your first chance at another achievement. Once you take control of Jack again, wait for the middle enemy to walk forward a little, then press and hold cn_RB. Use the time blast on the middle soldier, and you should be able to kill the other two with the same blast. Killing all three with a single time blast will net you;

You should be able to upgrade your time blast as well, since you have a couple of Chronon Sources available at the moment. A few more enemies will pour into the end of the room, so finish them off too. Run down the room and exit through the open door on the left. Head right once outside and go down the end of the alley. You'll see a closed door on the right up ahead. Ignore that for now and climb onto a graffiti-covered bin, then onto the corrugated metal roof bit. On here, activate your time vision and you'll be able to see the usual glow just ahead. Walk as close to the edge of the metal platform as possible to collect the Chronon Source (#16/18). Jump back down and try to enter the closed door. Once you regain control of Jack inside switch on your time vision and locate the explosive next to the heavy soldier. Shoot this to damage the soldier then he should only need a few more shots to be finished off, if not already dead. Clear this room of enemies (time blast can be quite useful here!). Head down to the door in the back right of the room on the top floor, use time vision to locate it if you get lost. You'll have to find a control panel to open it. Activate your time vision to highlight the door you need to head towards and go there. Once at the door, you'll have to rewind time to gain access. Once inside, head towards the screen at the end of the room and interact with the laptop to find FWD: Monarch Concerns (#17/18) then look to your left and you'll see a radio on a box. Interact with this for the audio file Internal Monarch Comms 2 (#18/18). Look at the tower of equipment just to the right to the desk and interact with it to open the other door. Turn back around and the boxes you initially removed to enter the area have reappeared. Climb over them the get out of the little area. Enemies will spawn in at the end of the room again, so take all of these guys out too. If you see any chance for kills using environmental explosions, take advantage of these as they contribute to another achievement. Head through the newly opened door, and through the corridor just beyond it, another stutter will start. When you go through the next door, part 2 will begin.

Part 2:

Make your way through the warehouse until you get to a more open room with a desk, a computer and some screens on the left side. Head to the large screen here with a picture of a woman's face on it and examine it for Sofia Amaral's Chronon Presentation (#1/22). You'll come under fire from soldiers in the lower level. Dispatch all of these enemies and then head down the stairs (if you haven't already) and go just beyond the machine in the middle of the room. Behind it, on a table, you'll find another laptop. Examine it for the email Chronal Tech Phase 2 Milestones (#2/22). Turn to your right from here and look up at the pulley holding the girders in the air. Make sure you're not underneath it, then shoot at the pulley to drop the girders. Climb onto the fallen girders, then hold cn_Y to rewind time. Once at the top, quickly jump from here onto the platform to your right. Head down the stairs to the left here then hook round behind them at the bottom. Activate time vision and you'll spot the next Chronon Source (#3/22). Go back up the stairs and instead of jumping off the way you came, head straight down the walkway until you reach some boxes at the end. Climb up these onto the roof of the room ahead. Follow the path on this roof around to the right, then to the left at the end of the roof. Fall down the gap here into the room below and activate time vision for another Chronon Source (#4/22). With all these Chronon Sources, upgrade any skill that you wish. There are achievements related to upgrading certain abilities, as well as fully upgrading all abilities. Following this guide, you'll be able to get all of these by the end as there are enough Chronon Sources throughout the game to upgrade everything in one playthrough, so there's no real rush to get these yet.

Clamber up the boxes and head back to the rooftop, then head up the small ramp to the left. Run along this platform until it starts to slope downwards, then jump down onto the walkway below, and head forwards out the door and outside. Drop down to the ground outside, then look to the right. You'll see a small tower-type structure. Head near this and use your time vision and collect another Chronon Source (#5/22). Turn left and head over to the parked Monarch car and examine the document of the bonnet for Trailer Note (#6/22). Go around to the open car door and interact with radio to get the audio file Theresa Sedmak Riverport Radio Show PR (#7/22). Head inside the building with the open door just to your left and head to the briefcase inside. You'll pick up an earpiece that allows you to speak to Beth Wilder. After interacting with that, turn around and you'll see a laptop on the table behind you. Interact with it for My Screenplay!!! (#8/22). Look left and walk all the way down to the end of this building, where you'll find another laptop at this end. Interact with it for RE: Next Steps (#9/22). Turn left and head out the door before you, run down the stairs and head straight forward into the open garage/warehouse area. Head to the back left corner, activate your time vision and, tucked in behind the large tanker container, you'll find another Chronon Source (#10/22).

Leave the little corner that you're in and head through the warehouse. You'll come across a locked door that you can't pass. Head to the right and you'll find a small window into the new room. Instead of climbing through, shoot the barrels that are in front of the door and then take cover. They'll explode and obliterate the door and most of the surrounding wall. Head through the newly-blasted gap and rewind time to reset the scatted shelving inside. Run up the stairs before everything falls back into place, then head up the ladder.

Head out the open door onto a balcony and drop down to the ground. You'll be attacked by a few enemies in this area and the area just up ahead. Wipe them all out until a Monarch vehicle comes crashing through a gate, when another stutter will start. Climb over the vehicle and into the next area where you'll have a short cinematic introducing a new type of enemy. You'll be attacked by some Strikers. these fast moving enemies are equipped with a Chronon Harness which allow them to move during the stutter, the same as you. They are quick and will time dodge towards you and hit you with melee attacks, as well as having guns at range. They can be defeated in the usual way, by filling them with bullets, or you can destroy the Chronon Harness on their backs, which prevents them from moving in the stutter. There is an achievements related to destroying these Chronon Harnesses, so aim for these as often as possible.

Once they're all taken out, head into the Ground Zero quarantine tent and around the corner. Before continuing, examine the Ground Zero Warning Sign (#11/22). Follow the path through the tent and you'll experience something unusual. Once you're able to move properly again, climb up and over the fence, then head along to the end of the alley and open up the doorway to the left. You'll now be inside Will's lab. Watch the broken time events unfold. Once you're full back in control of Jack, you'll see a small set of stairs downwards and a doorway just in front of it. Inside, you'll see a blackboard and another flight of stairs upwards. Head to the left of the stairs, behind the blackboard and you'll find an item you can interact with. This is another Quantum Ripple (#12/22). Head up the stairs and all the way along the ever-changing corridor. Go through the door to your left and follow the indoor fencing around. You'll come across another open door, but before leaving, head to the right of this fencing and examine the laptop on the desk for the email TRESSPASSER ALERT (#13/22).

Head out the door on tour left, down both flights of stairs, and into the Monarch containment lab. In the second area, you'll come across a couple of soldiers, take them both out, then look to the desk on the left. You'll find a laptop here with an email called RE: Dr. Kim's Lab and Serene's Treatment (#14/22). Turn around. You'll find a book on the table, which is a piece of intel, called Sudden Stop (#15/22). Turn around and head over to the opposite wall to find a little PDA on a set of shelves, examine it for the email RE: Jack (#16/22). Head out the doors to your right, then out of the lab. You'll see another quarantine tunnel ahead. Ignore this for now, instead turning right and heading around the outside of the lab you've just passed through. Head towards a bit of wall at the back with an elephant painted onto it. Activate time vision and you'll be able to grab your next Chronon Source (#17/22).

From here, head back around to where you were and enter the quarantine tunnel. Continue through the tunnel and you'll pull your phone out. In one section not long after using your phone, there will be a laptop on the left quite close to the door you just entered. Examine this for the email RE: Liam Burke's Status (#18/22). Continue through the tunnel until you reach the outside area. Once outside, head around one of the boxes ahead of you and towards the left. Activate you time vision for another Chronon Source (#19/22). Turn around and head towards the next tent, passing by the Monarch vans. The first van on the right will have its back doors open. Examine the PDA sat on the floor of the van for the email Liam Burke Psych Evaluation (#20/22). Head into the tent opening up ahead. Through the second door inside, you'll enter a cloakroom/ armoury with lockers, on one of the benches on the left, you'll find another PDA with the email entitled Amy Ferrero (#21/22). Finally head up to the end of this cloakroom, but do not leave the room just yet. Instead, when you reach the last set of lockers on the left, hook around behind them and activate time vision for the last Chronon Source (#22/22) in this part. Before you leave, look as the side of the room opposite to the lockers for a load of weaponry, change out any guns you want and restock whatever you decide to keep. Carry on through the tent and when you leave the other side, you'll start a cinematic.

Once you regain control of Jack, use your time vision to check where you're going, and head towards the half-crushed container. You should be given the option to rewind time here, allowing you access through the tunnel. Time dodge through the tunnel and wait on the other side. You'll see some scaffolding up ahead continually falling over and lading on the path ahead, rewinding back in time then repeating again. Wait for the right moment to dodge through here too. Head to the right after making it through this, go up and over a lower piece of scaffolding into the next area. There will be more falling down here. Climb up onto the containers on the left side, wait for it to be destroyed then remade before dodging through there too. Climb up the next block and onto the upper container. On the upper container, head across to the next area and time your jump onto the moving yellow container.

Once you're here, the stutter will collapse, causing the hull of the boat to fall down. Another stutter will start moments later. Run to the right and jump onto the next container. The path here is pretty straightforward, so follow it along until this second stutter finishes and a third stutter starts. A portion of the ship hull will fall in front of you and block your path. Once you're back in full control of Jack, you'll be attacked by more strikers. Remember to try and take out their Chronon Harnesses, although easier said than done sometimes. Once you've wiped them all out, head up a large ladder on the left side. While climbing this ladder, a cinematic will start and you'll finish part 2.

Part 3:

Once you regain control of Jack outside the swimming pool, run up to the entrance, then go around to the right and past a taxi that is parked there. Head beyond the taxi to the back of this area where you'll come across your first an area where you can rewind time. Do so, then climb up the bin and the roof in front of you, then head left and jump onto the scaffolding climb onto the next roof with the skylight windows and look to your right. Wait for the time that you rewound to revert back to the present day, then jump over the edge onto the wooden walkway that is now there. Jump onto the little outcrop, then climb up the brickwork and go forward into the room that is up here. Activate your time vision to find your first Chronon Source (#1/16). Head to the back left of this room and climb onto the table then over the wall into the next area with an open window in front of you. Jump out the window, you'll see the area on the left is the roof with the skylight windows you went past just now. Head to your right, along the roof, and continue until you reach the graffiti that says "AWE". Activate time vision and pick up another Chronon Source (#2/16).

Head back inside the loft area and go up the ramp to your left and climb up to the area above, where the yellow tarp is hanging. Go through the gap just ahead and land on the orange scaffolding and jump to the floor again. Go through the gap on the left and drop down to the room below through the hole in the floor. Turn left when you drop down and head over to a set of desks under some scaffolding framework. On the left desk, you'll see a radio with the file Schrodinger Diary (#3/16) on it, next to it is Riverport Discreet Moving Services Bill (#4/16) and on the next desk along in front of the PC, you'll find the Bradbury Swimming Pool Deed (#5/16). Turn around and go through the café area. Next to the bar on the right side, you'll find a smaller desk with a radio on it. Examining it will give you Theresa Sedmak Riverport Radio Show PR (#6/16). Exit through the closed door just ahead of you (with employees only written above the door) behind this narrative item into a kitchen type room with a bench and an extractor in the ceiling. Head around the opposite side of bench and activate time vision, look up at the extractor and you'll find a Chronon Source (#7/16).

Exit through the door on the left (conveniently marked "Exit") and go down the stairs to the large doors in front of you. Open these doors to let Beth in. Follow Beth through the next area and watch the video with her. Help her open the double doors. Once they are open, follow Beth, but don't push the big red button just yet. Instead, go all the way down the room and go through the white door on the left at the end. Go between the lockers and out the other door. Follow the yellow and red wires on the floor into another room then look at the stepladder. Activate Time Vision and you'll get another Chronon Source (#8/16). Travel back to Beth and hit the red button. Watch the next cinematic cutscene in full and you'll earn;

Don't activate the new core just yet. Go left and up the small set of stairs. On a black noticeboard on the left, you'll find a Time Machine Room Map (#9/16). On a table just to the right, you'll find a newspaper article entitled Physicist on the Rise (#10/16). Turn around, head back past the door and the two sets of scaffolding, one each side of the door. Just beyond the second scaffolding tower is a little area with a whiteboard and a PC on a desk. Examine the PC for RE: Where are you? (#11/16) and then the whiteboard for Countermeasure Schematics (#12/16). Look to your left and a little ahead, you'll see another larger whiteboard with Time Machine Schematics (#13/16). From here, follow the path around to the right into another bit of the swimming pool with more desks. On the first desk you see, you'll find another newspaper with the Parents Killed in Riverport Car Crash Article (#14/16). Activate time vision, then go around the right of this desk. On another desk right in front of you, you'll find another Chronon Source (#15/16). Finally, go up the pallets to the left of this source to the left and then follow the wall around to the right until you find another desk with yet another PC. Just next to this PC is another article called A Civilian's Guide to Time Travel (#16/16).

Head back to the desk where you found the Time Machine Room Map, and hit the switch on the desk to activate the core. You'll be told it needs to be reset, so head down and into the opening that leads beneath the core. Interact with the PC that you are directed to, then head back to the first button. Wait for the PC next to you to display "Core Activation Ready", then activate the core. Head to the right and go to the PC that is next to the Time Machine Schematics whiteboard and activate the corridor. With the corridor active, head to the left and go to a PC that's on a wooden platform in front of the core activation platform to set a date. This will start a cinematic that will lead to the end of Act 2, earning you;

You'll now enter Junction 2.

Junction 2

When you gain control of Paul Serene, instead of running towards Mr. Hatch, turn around and run to the PC on the desk. Interact with it for What Happened To Dr. Henry Kim (#1/1). Follow the scene through and make your choice between Business or Personal.

For the purpose of this playthrough, I chose Personal, which unlocked;

If you're going for both in a single playthrough, remember to reload and choose the Business decision as well (and proceed with whichever you like). If not, I'll be including all the other choices in the Hard section.

Act 3

Part 1

Once you take full control of Jack, follow Beth around the corner and exit the area. Just ahead, you'll learn how to Time Rush. Once you take out the guard, what you'll want to do quickly is use time rush and run around up and down the room you are now in. After you've run around the room in circles for about 5 minutes, you should unlock;

Once you're ready, and your time rush is at full energy, push the button on the left wall (that the guard hit to shut the first doors), activate time rush then run to the door at the far end of the corridor before it shuts. If it does shut, just repeat until you make it out. Head to the left and up the ramp. Once you drop over side, you'll see a red light appear in the distance. This is a turret. Before you continue though, take cover. When you're ready, pop out from behind the cover and activate your time shield. Do this until your shield disappears and take cover again. Repeat this until you block 200 bullets (it should only take a minute or two) and you'll unlock;

After popping that achievement, use time rush to run up behind the turret, making sure you don't run into any of the mid-air bullets. Once behind it, interact with it and you'll be able to equip the gun yourself. Before continuing, head back out into the area you just came through and on your left, you'll see a set of stone spiral stairs. Run up these and activate time vision to find your first Chronon Source (#1/28). Go back past the turret and climb the wall to the right. Rewind time here to rebuild a metal walkway, then use time rush to get over it before it collapses again. Up the stairs to the right, you'll find a couple of enemies.

Take them out, then head past the well lit circular placement in the middle and examine the board on the wall behind it for Gull Island Sign (#2/28). Turn around and head back the way you came a little. Just on your right, you should find a load of metal tubes. Activate time vision and rewind time to reconstruct the cannon emplacement. Run up the wooden ramp to the right, then climb up the wall on your right. Follow the wall around to the right until you reach the end of the wall. Activate time vision and you'll be able to collect another Chronon Source (#3/28). Travel back along the wall and jump down, rebuild the2 cannon and go up the ramp again. This time, climb onto the barrel of the cannon and run along it to the other side. Run down the stairs to your left and you'll be able to collect a third Chronon Source (#4/28). Go back up the stairs and squeeze through the gate on your right.

You're going to have to fight your way through a fair number of enemies in this next area. On the top level here, you'll also find a turret or two, which you need to hide from or destroy as soon as possible. While wiping out enemies, try to use time stop often and fire as many bullets as you can into the stop. You can also use it around yourself to stop bullets from hitting you as quickly. There are also ammo rucksacks in this area. If you get low, restock from them and even once all enemies are dead, keep firing into a time stop. If you keep this up, you'll eventually unlock;

While doing this, and slight after unlocking this, I also just kept using time stop, until I racked up 5 minutes of stopped time. This unlocks;

Take out the turret first in this battle if you can. After defeating all of the enemies in this area, you'll want to head to the yellow gate to the right of the turret. Activate the panel to open the gate and travel up the hill. At the top of this hill is a little cubicle, activate the radio inside for Theresa Sedmark Riverport Radio Show PR (#5/28). Head out of the cubicle then go towards the helicopter behind you. Just under the tail, activate your time vision and you'll be able to run forward and find another Chronon Source (#6/28). Turn around, run back up the ramp and go past the door to the opposite side. You should see a set of yellow stairs heading down to another roof. On this roof, activate time vision to find another Chronon Source (#7/28). Go back up the stairs and head to the yellow door marked with "Restricted Area" and enter the building. As soon as you open the door and enter, you'll automatically pick up a video file called Martin Hatch's Speech on Gull Island (#8/28). Head left and interact with a laptop on your right in this building (on a desk in front of a window). This will give you a Quantum Ripple (#9/28). Leave the room via the opening behind you, and enter the lift/ elevator and head down to the labs. Face the glass at the back of the lift as it goes down. After around 10-15 seconds of descending, you'll be attacked by Monarch guards. You'll find that once the attack starts, time will stop for a few seconds, allowing you to easily take out the guards. In the third time stop, turn around and open the lift doors and you'll jump down to the floor below.

Once you're back in control, run past the frozen guard in front of you, inspect the yellow map on the wall for Research and Development Facility Map (#10/28). Travel up the ramp to the right of you and use time stop on the door. Follow the path around and take the first right up towards the lab, then enter the lab. You'll pass through your first chronal dampener, which deactivates you time powers. Deactivate the dampener in the middle of the lab. Look to your left and you'll see a bench against the glass lab wall. Interact with a laptop on here for an email, called The Lifeboat Protocol (#11/28). Look left again and in the opposite corner of the room, you'll see a whiteboard. Interact with that for the Shifter Presentation (#12/28).

Leave the lab via the door you entered and go right. Continue onwards past the next lab and the frozen Monarch guide outside. Go up to the two yellow signs on the wall behind this guard and activate time vision for another Chronon Source (#13/28). Turn around and head back towards the lab that contained the chronal dampener, then head past it towards the slamming door. Time stop the door and at the end of the corridor to the left, you'll find two more shifters. The first guard should be facing away from you, giving you an easy harness to destroy, then take out the other soldiers harness if you can, or just finish him off. Just to the left of the door behind the second Monarch soldier, mounted on the wall, is the Monarch Technology Timeline (#14/28) and from here you'll want to turn left and run all the way along to the end of the corridor, past both the labs on your left. Activate time vision at the end of the corridor for another Chronon Source (#15/28).

Travel back along the corridor and through the open door to the right of the technology timeline, where two people are next to the door looking out. Go left and squeeze through the next door to start another cinematic. Here, you'll meet your first Monarch Juggernaut and instantly come under fire. The best way to take down the Juggernauts is to first get rid of the smaller enemies first. After clearing these guys out, focus on the Juggernaut itself. Every Juggernaut you face will have a weak spot on its back, marked by an orange fan/circle. Use time rush to dash around the back of it and hit it with everything you can. You'll have to do this multiple times in order to kill the Juggernaut. Hide behind cover for e few seconds to let you abilities regenerate, although don't hang about too long as the Juggernaut will eventually damage you.

After finishing off the Juggernaut, head to the back left of the room near an exit door. You'll be able to rewind time here, which moves a suspended platform along and down to the ground. Run onto the platform (using time stop if necessary) and wait until time runs as it should. Jump off the platform onto the raised walkway in front of you and follow the walkway around to the other side. Jump off onto the platform in front of the "Stutter-Proof Zone Beyond This Wall" sign, the follow the walkway around to the right and use time stop on the door ahead.

In this area, first you'll want to look right and examine the whiteboard on the wall for Gull Island Monarch Noticeboard (#16/28). Turn around and go into the first open off on the right, office #201. Examine the laptop on the left desk for an email entitled Gala Speech (#17/28). Leave the office and enter the next one, #202. This office has someone tripping and throwing papers out the door. Look right once inside and examine the laptop for the email RE: Joyce in Custody?? (#18/28). Head to #203 and examine the laptop there for Instructions For Tonight (#19/28).

Head into office #204. This is Sofia Amaral's office. Head to the desk in front of your and examine the laptop for FWD: Dream Journal 1 (#20/28). Head slightly right and examine the table in front of the whiteboard for Projected Fracture Progression (#21/28). Look right again and at the end of this first table, you'll pick up a Chronon Harness that Beth can wear. This will net you;

Examine the laptop just to the right of this for Chronon Disrupted Wave Function Subjects (#22/28) then next to this is a piece of intel called CRF Briefing (#23/28). Leave Dr Amaral's office and head into #205, examine the laptop for an email called The Purpose Of The Gala (#24/28). Leave the office and run all the way back to the entrance of the room and travel down the stairs past some lockers and frozen scientists. Follow the path forward and enter the first office on the left, #102. Examine the laptop on the right for The Time Machine (#25/28). Go next door to office #103 and examine the computer ahead for RE: What's up Girl (#26/28) then turn around and examine the mug on the table behind you for another piece of intel Brenner's Mug (#27/28). Run back along the corridor to the stairs, up the first flight and enter the decontamination area to the right, opposite the lockers and scientists. Follow the walkway along and head towards the two frozen soldiers at the end. Look between the two rows of lockers right at the end of this path and activate time vision for grab the last collectible of this part, a Chronon Source (#28/28).

Head up the stairs to the right and through the other decontamination area and through the door into Part 2.

Part 2

You'll now be heading towards the Monarch Gala. Once you've come through the door from the last part, head right and into the first room ahead of you. Examine the whiteboard on the wall for Lifeboat Presentation (#1/17). Leave this meeting room and head to the next one along, then examine the laptop of one of the guys sat at the table, just as you walk in, for Adventurous Religious Singles Dating Website (#2/17), then examine the laptop opposite him at the empty seat for RE: Time Machine Core (#3/17). Travel left out of this meeting room and up the flight of stairs. Ignore the first meeting room and enter the second one, which has the lights on and a woman standing outside the door. In the far corner of this meeting room, next to the large screen, activate time vision for a Chronon Source (#4/17). Leave the room and run right until you reach the slamming doors. Before leaving this area, turn left at the bottom of the stairs, and run over to the plant that is to the left of the lift and activate time vision for another Chronon Source (#5/17).

Time stop the slamming doors and enter the garage. While you're here, the stutter will collapse and all the Monarch soldiers will turn on you. Fight you way through everyone and try to enter the yellow room at the back left of the garage to turn off the alarm. You'll be attacked by a single shifter, take him out then disable the alarm inside. With that off, leave the room and you'll be attacked by another handful of normal troops and a shifter in the main garage. Take them out, but don't leave the garage just yet, there a couple of collectables here.

Find the pillar marked "B2" and find a green box just nearby. Interact with the PDA on this box for an audio file called Erotic Thriller (#6/17) and this is also a Quantum Ripple (#7/17). Head over to the maintenance exit of the room and interact with the radio on top of the red generator for Theresa Sedmak Riverport Radio Show PR (#8/18). Go through the roof access door and into the corridor. Look to the right of the stairs and activate time vision for a Chronon Source (#9/17) then head up the stairs. Travel up all the flights of stairs to the top. After you've finished the top flight of stairs, look towards the right and you'll see some metal fencing with a "No Trespassing" sign on the gate. Climb the flight of stairs to this gate and activate time vision for another Chronon Source (#10/17).

Go left and jump over the gap, then jump over to the broken walkway and continue to jump over the walkway. Just up ahead, you'll reach an area with enemies wandering around and a chronal dampener, inhibiting your time abilities. Now, just as you reach the edge of the red circle from the dampener, you'll hit a checkpoint. From here, you can grind out another achievement quite easily. You should see an enemy up ahead with Chronon harnesses. Stand on the walkway, just inside the red dampener sphere and shoot the harness, then restart the checkpoint and repeat until you've destroyed 15 Chronon harnesses (you'll likely have got a few of these already, so won't need to get all 15 here). Destroying 15 will pop;

From here, restart from the checkpoint once more and sneak into the compound, where a few guards will be patrolling. You'll want to sneak across and deactivate the Chronal dampener first, before engaging, as you'll get your time powers back. Having done this, take out the Monarch guards. You'll also find another Juggernaut here and this one carries a portable dampener. Take out all the other enemies first, then focus on the Juggernaut's weak spot, but remember, you can't get too close otherwise you'll lose your abilities.

After clearing the area, find a white van blocking a gap in between two set of yellow fencing with a stop sign. You can rewind time just to the right of the van to pull it mostly out of the way. Use time stop to hold the van in place then time rush up to the roof of the building next to you, then jump over onto the van and jump down the other side of the fence. Follow the road down and you'll come across the entrance to the gala.

Enter the gala, and on the right as soon as you pass the first bouncer, head to the truck on the right with the open back door. Interact with the phone for Shocked Text Message (#11/17) then head further into the gala. On the left side, you'll see a stage with an empty lectern. Head towards this lectern and activate time vision for another Chronon Source (#12/17). Head through the gala and you'll find Beth frozen, interact with her to continue.

Once you're back in control of Jack, don't follow Beth just yet, instead look right and head towards the orange doors. Examine one of the tables in front of the settee/ sofa/ couch (whatever you to call it) for Fiona Cocktail Sword (#13/17) then activate time vision and look at the sofa for another Chronon Source (#14/17). Now follow Beth up the set of stairs behind you. Once you reach the top, before going inside, look at a white bench on the right and examine the clipboard on it for My Screenplay Part 2!! (#15/17). Follow Beth inside and out of the next open door. In this outside area, turn left and run to the end of the balcony, then activate time vision and look to the left of the left pillar for another Chronon Source (#16/17). Follow Beth and rescue Sofia Amaral.

Once you regain control again, take out the Monarch troops that attack you once the stutter collapses, and keep ducking behind cover and making your way forward to avoid the sniper. Once you've taken everyone out, including a turret that you'll need to run behind and dismantle, same as all the others, head towards the structure that the sniper was standing in. Look for some tall flowers in a pot on one side, then active time vision for your next Chronon Source (#17/17).

Just right of this Chronon Source, you can go down a few flights of stairs into a little building. You may find one last enemy soldier in here, so wipe them out and in this room on the left, you'll find a switch to interact with to let Beth and Sofia escape the area. You'll then have to fight your way through the gardens and towards the mansion. You'll encounter another sniper here, along with a couple of heavy troops (not Juggernauts though). Follow the objective arrow to find the garage and steal a car. A cinematic will take over and after that, you'll have finished Act 3. This will pop;

Junction 3

There are no collectables in this Junction, so all you have to do is see how the story unfolds, then follow Martin Hatch down to Sofia Amaral's laptop. Here you'll make your choice. For my first playthrough, I chose to trust Sofia. Doing this will unlock;

Remember to reload if you're doing this all in one playthrough and make both choices. Feel free to watch the next episode of Quantum Break, before heading into Act 4.

Act 4

Part 1

At the beginning of this penultimate act, you'll find yourself as Jack in an alleyway. As soon as you've gained control, run straight to the end of the alley and down the small set of stairs leading to a closed door. Activate time vision for this Act's first Chronon Source (#1/11). Turn around and climb onto the bin behind you, then onto the pallets and then the roof. Don't climb up any further than this first roof, instead head right and across the corrugated metal awning, activate time vision and collect the next Chronon Source (#2/11). Now climb up onto the next roof and then up the ladder. Run straight over this roof area and through an open window. Once inside, look slightly right and you should spot a TV on a table in front of you. Interact with it for Night Springs (#3/11). Follow the path around to the right and you'll enter a short cinematic cutscene.

After regaining control of Jack, travel down the ramps in front of you and look to your right at the bottom to find a radio on a wooden bench. Interact with it for Theresa Sedmak Riverport Radio Show PR (#4/11). Turn around and follow the path down a set of stairs and around the bottom floor of the building until you have to open and climb out of a window. On the other side of the window, turn around and activate time vision for a Chronon Source (#5/11). After collecting that, turn around, run along the platform and down the ladder. You'll start a short cinematic in which another stutter will start, then when you regain control, you'll see a few Monarch troops with Chronon harnesses. After taking these guys out, you'll have to go through a gate that you'll need to bash open. Once you've gone through this gate, turn around and head behind you and activate time vision for another Chronon Source (#6/11). Travel back the correct way and go up the ladder ahead.

Jump through the train carriage, then follow the path around and up a few flights of stairs up to the bridge above. At the top, head through the open gate, Go around the front of the first car you see and on the opposite side, just next to the bonnet, inspect the noticeboard that is there for Monarch Noticeboard (#7/11). Turn around and look towards the lorry that is now in front of you. Examine the picture that the Monarch soldier is showing the lorry driver for Jack Joyce Mugshot (#8/11). From here, turn right and run towards some of the cars. Hook around past a bright yellow stop sign, then on a table behind this stop sign, is a laptop. Examine this for Monarch Field Orders Update: Martin Hatch (#9/11). Note that this piece of intel will be titled Monarch Field Orders Update: Dr Sofia Amaral, if you chose differently at the end of the last Act.

From this laptop, head past the stop sign again, then activate time vision. On your left, between a white car and a Monarch 4x4, you'll find another Chronon Source (#10/11) then head through the gap in the blockade behind you. You'll have a bit of a fight on your hands as you go through, as you'll be attacked by a Monarch Juggernaut along with a few Strikers. Same as before, take out the Strikers first then focus entirely on the Juggernaut's weak spot. After beating all of these guys, head up the ladder to the left and you'll scale the bridge and arrive at the top. Follow the pathway at the top of the bridge around, but don't go down the yellow ladder just yet. Instead, at the end of the walkway activate time vision and you'll find the last collectible in this part, another Chronon Source (#11/11).

Climb down the ladder and run across the top of the bridge. While on the bridge, the stutter will end and time will unfreeze, causing a bit of a disaster. When you regain control of Jack, you'll be in a pretty sticky situation. This next section is a fairly linear path, so make your way along it. For any moving sections caught in the stutter, remember that time stop, time rush and time dodge are your friends, and in some cases, you'll likely have to use two abilities at once. Once you make it through this short section, part 1 will end.

Part 2

After the opening cinematic, you'll find yourself back in control of Jack, at the restaurant area of the swimming pool/ Will's time machine. First up, on the table to your left where Beth is standing, interact with the paper on the table for Beth's 2010 Plan (#1/16) then head towards the door out of this first room. Before you go through the door, on the right of it, is a noticeboard, which will give you Martin Hatch Dossier (#2/16) upon examination. From here, look right and go through the door. You'll find yourself in a room you've been in before, where you found a Chronon Source in the previous act. In here, interact with the radio on the table for Theresa Sedmak Riverport Radio Show PR (#3/16). Head back into the previous room and speak with Beth in order to continue. Follow Beth down to the room containing the time machine. In this room, head left, past Beth, then up to the control room where Sofia is. Carry on past her and down the ramp to the other side, near some old seats on the left. Activate time vision near these seats for your next Chronon Source (#4/16).

Speak to Sofia and help her reset all the power switches. After speaking to her the first time, she'll lower a ladder for you. Walk over to it and climb up and Sofia will tell you what is needed. Climb up the platform to your left, then onto the long tube on your right, up to first red relay light. Climb over the girder and activate the first relay. To reach the next one, you'll have to climb back down.

Travel back through the control room, past Beth again and then into the far side of the room (where you found a newspaper article about Jack and Will's parents in a previous Act) and you should find Amy on her laptop. Interact with Amy a few times and she'll talk about a "Jack Joyce sightings website" and that she's putting false tips in. This is another Quantum Ripple (#5/16). After this, interact with Amy's laptop for Dream Journal 5 (#6/16). Look right, and on a set of boxes, you should see a pile of paper that you can examine for Transcript of Monarch Communications (#7/16). Just to the right of this again is a set of shelving, where you can find the Lifeboat Document (#8/16) and on the platform next to you, you can find a Monarch Employee Chart (#9/19) and once again, just to the right of this, you can find On the Unique Nature of the Lifeboat (#10/16) and right next to it is the Monarch Mission Statement 1999 (#11/16). Further on to the right, in a blue folder, you can find Monarch Solutions Three Phase Plan (#12/16).

That's all the collectibles in that little area, form here, you'll want to turn around and run forward, up a wooden pallet ramp and through a set of brown doors. You should be able to spot the brown doors from the area you're currently in. Behind these doors is a room that has been slightly left to nature, then turn right into the next room. On a desk in front of you, there will be a photo in a frame which you can examine and see a Jack and Will Photo (#13/16). Head to your left from here and enter the next door and a cinematic will start. DO NOT skip this cinematic. After it has finished, you will earn;

When you regain control of Jack, look to your left before moving anywhere and stand next to the mattress on the left. Here, you can examine Beth's Notebook (#14/16). Follow Beth into the next room, which is a toilet, and go into the corner cubicle on the right side, activate time vision and collect another Chronon Source (#15/16). Head back out and climb up the broken, lit-up cubicle with the yellow tarpaulin on it. You'll on the roof of the cubicles, so follow the path around through ha broken wall. Go up the stairs then to the right and jump onto the broken diving boards. From the top board, jump onto the hanging platform, then activate time vision and walk forward. Collect the last Chronon Source (#16/16) of this part. Head right and activate the last red relay switch. Head back to the platform that you had to reach by climbing the ladder (where Sofia told you what was needed) and activate the corridor.

Set the date and then go to enter the time machine to start a cinematic, ending part 2. You should also now earn;

Part 3

You emerge from the time machine in 2010. You first port of call is another collectible, as you may have guessed. Run down the ramp and towards a table in the swimming pool area on the left. The first thing you can interact with is a laptop, which gives you an email called RE: The Countermeasure (#1/9) and just to the left of this is a radio where you can listen to Bobby Radford Riverport Radio Show 2010 (#2/9). Travel towards and then up the stairs in front of you then go left, towards where the sun is streaming into the building. Drop down into the other dry pool area and activate time vision. On the empty side of the pool, underneath the window, you should spot another Chronon Source (#3/9). Head back towards the time machine, and you should start to hear a banging noise, that sounds a little like gunshots. Investigate these and interact with the door and you'll find that it is locked. Head to the opposite side of the swimming pool and interact with those doors (where you found Beth's painting and the photo of Will and Jack in the last part) to start another cinematic.

After this cinematic completes, you'll be facing Beth's wall painting. Look to your left and interact with the book on the table there for Beth's Journal (#4/9) then leave the room. When you exit this room, you'll enter a corridor with Beth waiting for you on the left. However, you'll want to go right first, then go up the first flight of stairs, but not the second. Once you've scaled these stairs, activate time vision to find another Chronon Source (#5/9) then run back down the stairs towards Beth. Before reaching her, examine the wall on the right for Wall of Calendars (#6/9). Speak to Beth and follow her to the locked door.

Once Beth has unlocked the door, follow her along the path. Once you're through the first set of doors, and before you go up a small flight of stairs, you'll see a dark room on your left. Walk in here and activate time vision for another Chronon Source (#7/9) then follow Beth up the stairs into the restaurant area. Once in here, run forwards towards the table ahead. Interact with the paperwork on the table for Beth's New 2010 Plan (#8/9) and then black free-standing note board to your left for Rise of Monarch Whiteboard (#9/9). Check out the tables on your right, next to the windows that overlook the pool area, and you'll find an array of guns that you can pick and choose from. Once you've chosen your equipment, interact with Beth for a cutscene, and the end of part 3.

Part 4

After a cinematic, you'll regain control of Jack near Will's workshop. Follow Beth along the path and over a bridge between the two building. Keep following her around the next corner, then on your left, you'll see a well-lit wall with a power box on it. Interact with this for the first collectible of this part, and also the last Quantum Ripple (#1/9) in the game. If you've followed this walkthrough and found all the Quantum Ripples up to this point, you'll pop;

Continue to follow Beth along the walkway, and jump down to the ground below. When you land, run left and go to the gate with the "No Trespassing" sign and activate time vision for a Chronon Source (#2/9) then turn around and head back towards Beth. Bash the door down into Will's workshop. Run forward and go up the small stairs the quickly head to the right, before reaching the tables. Around the back of here is a small area, activate time vision and you'll find another Chronon Source (#3/9) then head back around to the desks and examine the paperwork on the right side desk for Countermeasure Designs (#4/9). Examine the three computer screens on the end table to take a peek at Will's Journal (#5/9). Look left, on the red set of shelving you'll see a radio, interact with it to listen to another Bobby Radford Riverport Radio Show 2010 (#6/9).

Head right down some stairs, then turn left and travel towards another bench up ahead, next to an slightly open door. There's a set of rectangular wooden crates that you can scale here, so do so and climb up to the roof of the building. Once up here, look right and activate time vision for yet another Chronon Source (#7/9) then jump back down and enter the slightly ajar door. Look straight to the left as you walk in and you'll see on the wall right next to you is a whiteboard, which you can examine to see a load of notes and pick up Will's Whiteboard (#8/9). Turn around and run over to the red light on the wall behind you. Rewind time to restart the power then quickly run to the left, towards the glowing green computer and activate it before it disappears (you may need to time rush or time dodge here to get there in time).

Leave the room and go back the way you came, and you'll now be able to enter a room to the left that was previously closed off. Beth will already be in there. Before speaking with Beth, examine the board just behind her on the right for Time Machine Designs (#9/9). Speak to her and let her crack the safe. You'll hear Monarch troops arrive and you'll have to wipe them out. Leave Will's workshop by the door you entered and you'll have to take out all the troops outside. There will be a handfuls of snipers on the left rooftop, and a fair number of soldiers at ground level, but that's it really. There's a number of explosive barrels that you can destroy here too, so try and get kills with them.

After wiping them out, you'll hear that Paul has got to Beth. Return to her and a cinematic will take over. After this cinematic finishes, you'll end Act 4, earning;

Junction 4

You'll regain control of Paul Serene now. Leave the room you're in via the door up ahead, then seal the CFR chamber using the button on the left outside the door. Leave the room and head towards your office up the stairs. Got up the second set of stairs and into your office at the top of the stairs, where the Monarch solider just came from, and interact with your laptop for an email entitled Mr. Hatch's Arrest (#1/1). Leave your office and speak with the soldier and interact with your treatment on the table. You'll now have to make your choice between Control or Surrender.

Here, I chose Control on my first playthrough, which pops;

You'll now enter the final act of the game.

Act 5

Part 1

Welcome to the final Act of Quantum Break. You'll begin this level near Monarch HQ. Time is falling apart and the End of Time is fast approaching. Run forwards slightly and the train from the cutscene will come crashing through the pillars to your left, before a stutter begins and stops it in place, eventually rewinding it. Run forwards and on the reception desk in front of you, you should see a radio allowing you to listen to another Theresa Sedmak Riverport Radio Show PR (#1/25). Run up the stairs ahead and you'll be attacked by a few Monarch troops including a heavy trooper, so take these guys out before continuing.

Enter the next area via the glass security gates by interacting with a panel on the right-hand side, letting you through. Run to your left, past all the security gates and you'll find a little alcove on your left, leading to the men's toilets. Activate time vision here for the first Chronon Source (#2/25) of this Act. Head back the way you came, towards the set of escalators. Before reaching them, there is a pillar showing the Monarch HQ Map (#3/25) just to the left. Run up the escalators and you'll be attacked by a couple of Monarch that comes out of the lifts in front of you. After taking them out, on the end of the long desk in front of the lifts, you'll find another intel item Monarch Radio Note (#4/25). Go behind the desk and examine one of the computers for an email called Getting To Be That Time!!! (#5/25) and then just along on the other end of the desk, you'll find an email called one called Shifter Alert (#6/25).

Enter the lift and travel up to the next level. Exit the lift when you can and you'll enter a violent scene, with Monarch troops strewn all over the place. Before continuing, head to the left sofa with the red material over one end. You'll be able to find a PDA here with the email Martin Hatch (#7/25) then leave the area via the door up ahead. In this room, you'll need to take down a handful of shifters. After taking these guys down, you'll be attacked by TWO Juggernauts at once. After taking out both of these, head to the opposite side of the room to the door, near where the Juggernauts jumped in from. On the back wall, you'll find a poster on a board called Monarch PR Protocol (#8/25). Run towards the yellow wall and door that you need to go through to continue and on the second desk back from the door, you'll find a laptop with the email That Creepy Asshole's Gone! (#9/25).

Leave the room via the door near the yellow wall, and travel over the skybridge. Follow the main path around, through the corridor of slaughtered Monarch troops. Before you enter the door at the end of this corridor, head into the room on your left. Immediately on your right, activate time vision and collect a Chronon Source (#10/25). Run to the directly opposite side of the table and you'll find a desk with a few screens on it, interact with the left screen for Time Stabber (#11/25) and then with the right screen for About My Screenplay and New Video!!! (#12/25). Enter the door on your right and go to the desk straight in front of you. On the left side, you'll find a piece of intel, Monarch Paperweight with Note (#13/25) then travel right, to the far desk, and examine the PC there for a email called A Confession (#14/25).

Turn around and head through the door behind you and follow the corridor around the corner and through the door ahead, where a cinematic will start. Once you regain control, the stutter will end. Travel straight down the corridor and to the right and activate the panel to open the door ahead. Through this door, on the small desk to your left, examine the note on top of it for Untitled Note (#15/25) then enter Paul Serene's office. As you approach his desk, a cinematic will start.

When you regain control, interact with Serene's laptop for Final Instructions (#16/25) and then stay on the top level, run past the desk with Paul's medicine on, and go over to the bookcase on the next wall. Interact with the PDA and you'll find an email called RE: Time Machine Core (#17/25) then carry on ahead towards the bed. On drawers next to the bed, interact with a piece of paper for Reflections On The End (#18/25) then run up the stairs onto the little raised platform behind the bed and activate time vision for a Chronon Source (#19/25).

Run down the stairs behind you towards the long wall of boards. On a desk in front of them is a laptop, where you can interact with an email called Quantum Ripple Research Unit (#20/25) then head down the door behind you towards the labs. Enter the first lab you see and one the right you'll find a laptop with Sofia's Personal Notes (#21/25). Head towards the countermeasure storage.

Here you'll be attacked by Liam Burke. He wasn't particularly hard, just take out his Chronon harness. From where Liam freezes, look right and on the middle bench, you'll find a laptop with Read Me Right Now - CFR Procedures!! (#22/25) then run to the opposite bench and look at the laptop here for Chronon Particle Stockpile Update (#23/25). Open the countermeasure room then head to the left, on a desk you will find Personal Notes On The CFR (#24/25). Turn around and go to the desk behind you, and on the floor in front of the desk, you'll find a piece of intel, Charlie's Badge (#25/25). As this is the last bit of intel, assuming you've been following the walkthrough, you'll earn;

Now go into the central chamber and collect the countermeasure, which should unlock;

Then head to the lift at the back of the room and activate the time machine upstairs. As the corridor is set into place, you'll be ambushed by Monarch soldiers. As you fight through everyone, you'll find a stutter will start, but you'll still be under attack from strikers. Once you take out all the strikers, the stutter will stop and you'll need to take out all the other enemies, including a heavy trooper. Once you've taken them all out, interact with the console once more to set the date, then enter the time machine, ending part 1.

Part 2

When you exit the time machine and take back control of Jack, you'll have a couple of enemies to take out as you travel around the outside of the original machine. Before you reach the service lift, you'll find a ramp on the right. Run up this and activate time vision at the top to find a Chronon Source (#1/6). Head back down the ramp and enter the lift. When the lift reaches the bottom, run forward but don't got around the corner just yet. Look left, then shoot the propane tank on the floor to the left. This should get you a double kill. Before continuing, if you haven't unlocked the achievement for killing 15 enemies with explosions, here is the spot to grind it out. Restart the last checkpoint, which is the bottom of the lift, and repeat the explosive double kill. After getting all the remaining explosive kills that you need, if you haven't already popped it, you'll earn;

  • Area Effect

    Kill 15 enemies with environmental explosions.

After killing these guys as many times as you require, walk into the next room and you'll be attacked by two heavy troopers and a few normal soldiers. Take all these guys out then use time stop to hold the door open and get outside. From here, run forward towards the forklift truck, then climb on top of it. Activate time vision, then grab the Chronon Source (#2/6) ahead of you.

Head over to the left wall and go up the stairs ahead of you. At the top will be two strikers facing away from you. Take them both out, then there will be a few more over in the distance. Take all of the other soldiers out. You'll be directed to a section to reverse time on a lorry. Reverse time, then time rush forwards towards the metal shutter and run inside when the gate opens for the lorry. There will be another load of normal troops and strikers in this area too, so destroy all of them. After this, you'll have to learn the code to the gate. Do this by interacting with the troop shadows in the middle of the garage, then follow them up the ramp to the left, then all the way down to the end of the first floor, to hear Liam Burke tell them the code. Heard over to the little control booth on the right side of the ground floor, then enter the research building.

Just as you enter, in the first room, head to the second little alcove on the right (with seats) and activate time vision for another Chronon Source (#3/6). Travel up the escalators and there will be another handful of troops that you have to take out. In this area, head towards the back of the room, where there is a little island, an open panel in the wall and a fire extinguisher hung on the wall. Next to the fire extinguisher is a note on the wall that you can examine for Note Regarding Chronon Dampener (#4/6). Disconnect the Chronon dampener on the open panel to the left of this note. You'll be attacked by more troops, including a couple of heavy troopers, however you'll be completely in the dark. The only light will be from the torches on the enemy guns, so you'll be relying fairly heavily on time vision to see your enemies. After defeating them, the lights will come back on.

Exit the area via the door to the library, run up the stairs, climb onto the row of portaloos just in front of you, then climb the scaffolding platforms and jump onto the building scaffolding. Climb up the ladder and a cinematic will start when you reach the top. Run along the walkway and jump onto the yellow crane, then climb up the first ladder. when you reach the top of this ladder, before going up the second ladder, run around this little platform and activate time vision for another Chronon Source (#5/6). Climb up the second ladder then run along the top of the crane then jump onto the rooftop on the other side, where you'll be attacked by more Monarch soldiers, including a sniper and a heavy, although next to the sniper are a few explosive barrels that you can destroy to take him out a load quicker.

After finishing off these soldiers, break through a little fenced area, climb up the generator, then onto the air duct around the outside of the building, then jump down onto the roof beneath you. Run up the roof with the blue tarp covering it and kill the Monarch troops on this side of the roof, then on the other side you'll be right behind a sniper that you also need to take out. There will be another sniper on a far roof as well. You'll have to time rush up the path to the left to take out the soldiers at the end, although feel free to stop and take cover to allow your rush to recover before continuing up the whole path. There will be two heavy troopers on this roof pathway, so try to take out the sniper first then focus on these guys.

Enter the doorway at the end of this path and go down the stairs, where you'll reach the upper ring of the library. When you get nearby to the entrance of this room, you'll get a timer appear in the top left in place of your objective. You now have 15 seconds to reach Will in the lobby. Jump over the railings on the level below near the door and exit the door. You'll trigger a cinematic cutscene where Serene triggers the library explosive and you rescue Will. DO NOT SKIP THIS CUTSCENE (doing so will not unlock the achievement and you'll need to replay the chapter). During or after this cutscene, you should unlock;

Once you regain control, follow Will around, take out a couple of Monarch soldiers, then enter the Riverport University Chemistry building. Follow Will around the building and then up the stairs, then into a room on the first floor. You'll probably recognise this room as the area where you first learnt how to time dodge. Inside this room, head to the back right corner, towards a painting (with a beardy man in it) and activate time vision for the last Chronon Source (#6/6) in this part.

Follow Will through the lecture theatre and outside into the car park that you visited in the first act. As you open the door, a cinematic will start. This will end part 2.

Part 3 - Final Moments

The final part of the final act. You'll start with a short cinematic of Jack and Will arriving at Bradbury Swimming Pool. When you gain control of Jack, turn around and head behind the taxi. Activate time vision, then on the left just in front of you, you should find a Chronon Source (#1/3) then run back and follow Will into the swimming pool. Run up the stairs and go into the restaurant area and interact with the radio on the bar, ahead on the left as you walk in. This give you Bobby Radford Riverport Radio Show (#2/3), which is also the last collectable minus a Chronon Source. As long as you've followed this guide, you should now earn;

  • Media Baron

    Find all e-mails, presentations, TV shows, radios and posters.

Run back down the stairs and help Will open the door. Follow Will through the locker room and around the corner. Before entering the pool containing the time machine, head right past the door into an area with showers. Activate time vision here for your last Chronon Source (#3/3) and also your last collectable. Now, you will have been upgrading your time skills throughout the game, and this last source gives you enough to upgrade everything fully. You'll likely have picked up one of these achievemetns already, but I'll be listing it here just in case. Upgrade all of your time skills full and you'll earn both of the following;

  • Stop / Go

    Fully upgrade Time Stop or Time Dodge.

Enter the time machine room and a cinematic will start, taking you back to the future. Follow Will around the corridor and emerge the other side. You'll instantly come under fire from Monarch troops once you walk out. A stutter will also be in progress, and once you've defeated all the troops, you'll have to release Will from the stutter. As you go to release him, Paul Serene will appear and a cutscene will initiate. Once you're back in control, the final boss battle will commence.

Rush down the ramp and take out the first enemy, and continue to take out all the other Monarch soliders. At this point, you can't damage Paul at all. While taking out the troops, Paul will also attack you with time blasts. The area immediately around you with glow orange/ red and detonate a few seconds later. Run away, or even better, time dodge, as soon as any colour appears to avoid these attacks.

After you kill the first set of Monarch troops, Paul will switch position to on top of the time machine. From here, Paul will drop a HUGE time blast that slowly increase in size before detonating and dealing massive damage. After this detonates, quickly run to the front of the room where Paul was and you'll see his shield is down. Take a shot at him and you only need a single bullet to hit. He'll then reappear in the first spot he occupied, above the door and a load more Monarch troops arrive. Take on these troops and dodge the blasts from Paul until he moves to the top of the time machine again.

This time, he will deploy three huge blasts. Once one appears and starts growing, run away from it. As soon as that one detonates, another will appear, and then a third after that. You'll find yourself running around the whole room quite a lot. After the third blast has detonated, fire at Paul and the battle will end, starting another cinematic cutscene.

Once you regain control, follow and help Will. This will start the final cutscene and end the game.

You should hopefully now unlock;

  • Time Cop

    Complete the game on Normal Difficulty.

Now that you have finished the story, all that remains is to play through again on Hard. You probably won't have that much difficulty with any of the missions, perhaps with the exception of the final boss, and you don't have to worry about collecting any of the extra collectibles or narrative items. You can replay all chapters via timeline, which acts as a chapter select, instead of doing a brand new playthrough. However, I personally found it much easier to just start again and playthrough the whole game again, just on Hard. The only collectibles that I bothered with were the Chronon Sources to upgrade my powers.

Remember, to mop up the remaining achievements, you'll want to make the opposite choice to the first playthrough.

In Junction 1, you'll want to pick Hardline which will unlock;

In Junction 2, you'll want to pick Business which will pop;

In Junction 3, you'll want to pick (and trust) Hatch to collect;

And in Junction 4 you'll want to choose to Surrender and give into the Chronon Sickness, which will pop;

Finally, you'll want to deal with the final boss is a slightly more defensive way. Taking out the soldiers is your priority, and the most efficient way to do this would be to run around using time rush and using melee on the soldiers for a one-hit kill, before finding cover and repeating on all the others. Make the most of time dodge to avoid all incoming time blasts, especially the big ones.

After completing the game again on Hard, you'll unlock the final achievement;

    Complete the game on Hard Difficulty.
