From developer and publisher Orihaus comes To Burn in Memory, a casual adventure indie game.

Within this game, you get to explore a city that has never existed and uncover the memories of what was lost when Europe descended into war.

This is definitely a book and not a game. This should be read and approached as book, and not thought of as a traditional game at all. That will only take away some of the pleasure when playing this game. This is incredibly text based, so if you don't like reading, definitely don't play this.

Within this game, you get the option to go around the city and see previous memories and meet characters that you will never officially meet. This feature itself makes the whole game feel rather melancholic, and left me longing for people I would never meet or even hear of again. Orihaus did an absolutely amazing job with this, and I'm left wanting to play more or even discover more in this city than what there was to discover the first time around.

With three easy achievements, two of which are story based, this is definitely a quick game for those who look for games to complete to add more completed games to their resume. It took me five minutes to earn the achievements (with the help of a guide for the secret one) and then I went about this world, losing myself in the beautiful fantasy it created.

Truly, I believe this wouldn't have done so well had it been non-text based. It really allowed to you imagine the city yourself, and this makes it a little bit more personal for you. There's a certain charm to this, and it's something that I personally loved, making up this whole city in my mind based off things the characters were saying.

I definitely recommend this one to any achievement hunters / completionists but I also recommend this to anyone who just wants a text based adventure to play. This was stunning and I wish I could play it again and rediscover the whole thing all over again.
