The Gallery - Episode 1: Call of the Starseed was one of the highlight games available at the time of the VIVE release...and is still one of the best. It is pretty much a classic VR-style adventure game, where you wander through an environment, finding clues and solving puzzles.
Unlike most of the VR games that have come out in the first year or so since VR went live, the graphics are truly excellent and the atmosphere is great. There are numerous things for you to examine and manipulate, many of which have nothing to do with solving the game, just adding to the realism of the environment.
Like most VR games, however, it is rather short. Most of it is exploration, with very few actual puzzles, and with fairly heavy hints on how to solve them available in game. If you know how to get through the whole thing, you could likely play beginning to end in an hour. Exploring it fully and/or achievement hunting for hard-to-find objects can add hours to the play.
This is truly a great experience that shows the potential to create great adventure-style VR experiences. It is only part 1 of at least 4 episodes, so there will be quite a bit more to come.
