    😍Liked:

👍 Availability: The game became free (Previous price: 240 rubles)

    👍 Availability of achievements

    👍 Support for online co-op

👍 More than 20 recognizable levels from the world of Backrooms

👍 The opportunity to meet popular monsters from the Backrooms series

    👍 Global player table

    👍 Availability of online players

👍 Support for save points in the network game, allowing you to continue the game from the “last visited level”

👍 Support for text chat for player coordination

    🤢Disliked:

👎 The presence of in-game advertising for paid DLC

👎 Some modes are closed to “regular” players

👎 Multiplayer works at the whim of the developer

👎 Network lobbies indicate a ping of 9999 for all rooms, regardless of the distance from the user

    👎 Low texture quality

    👎 Low quality level design

👎 Low quality character and monster models

👎 Excessive ghosting when turning the camera

    👎 Weak enemy AI

👎 The presence of a flying flashlight next to the player

👎 When running, the flashlight model lags behind the player’s location and “flies” a few meters behind

    👎 No “tutorial”

👎 Lack of support and expansion of the lore of the Backrooms universe

    👎 Extremely short levels

👎 Inability to skip “end credits”

👎 Extremely slow scrolling speed of the “end credits”

👎 Reset of some player graphic settings after restarting the game/returning to the main menu

👎 A bug in the network lobby, in which several lobbies of the same player can be displayed in the player list

👎 Possibility to fall outside the level in the “Fields” world

👎 “Fatal Error” error window - after the death of a player in network co-op mode

👎 In case of death of the HOST during network play, the game can connect an additional player to a full lobby. Because of which the dead player - crashes with an error window.

👎 When playing in solo mode, all falls outside the map are not considered “death” and do not lead to a restart of the level, or transfer to the next location

👎 No voice chat to coordinate the actions of players

👎 Valves of the “Pools” level appear sequentially one after another, after activating the previous one, which makes exploring the level pointless

👎 Monsters from previous levels - appear in habitats and locations “uncharacteristic” of theirs

👎 Inability to use items found by the player, or to examine them in the “inventory” (bottles, lighters, chocolates, etc.)

👎 A bug in the network mode, in which one (or several) players start the game without an active inventory (lack of a “diary”), while the other player starts with several identical items

👎 No point in the “diary” (notebook), since the player cannot write down tasks in it, or somehow “update” it from level to level

👎 When appearing on a level, all players end up in random places on the level

👎 A bug in which players can end up behind textures or outside the map when appearing on a level

👎 The ability to spawn a player right at the exit point, which negates the point of exploring the level

👎 The ability to “look” behind walls and doors by turning the body (Q / E keys)

👎 Increased tilt to the right, different from tilt to the left

👎 Visual glitch, when pressing shift + F - the game can start displaying FPS in the upper right corner of the screen

👎 Enemy sound positioning bug, in which sounds are played next to the player, even if the enemy is far from the character

👎 Sound positioning bug, due to which turning on / off another player's flashlight is heard by all active players, regardless of the distance to the character

👎 The monster of the “Motorway” level does not “catch” the player to move to another level in EXPLORATION mode, which blocks further progression of the game

👎 Possibility to fall out of the map on the “Highway” level

👎 Possibility to fall under the road texture on the “Highway” level

    👎 Low optimization

👎 No procedural generation of levels, or location of notes/quest items/codes

👎 Possibility to die at night on level 94, while in a building

👎 Possibility to fall out of the map on level 94

👎 Visual glitch, in which a fully charged flashlight does not shine at night on level 94

👎 Visual glitch, in which a fully charged flashlight does not shine at night on the “Parking” level

👎 A number of interactions with objects and items are not indicated in the form of a hint

👎 No automatic use of a number of inventory items

👎 Possibility to end up on the “Tunnel” level, from which players can move to any level

👎 If you are on the “Tunnel” level, interaction with doors works every other time

👎 When attempting to enter a level through the “Tunnels”, the player’s screen darkens, while invisible barriers prevent entry through the “door”

👎 Some achievements do not work correctly

👎 No ability to adjust the “VOLUME” parameter in the game’s main menu

👎 Unfriendly interface of the network lobby (the I key looks like a regular stick -_-)

👎 The presence of cracks in textures and objects through which you can see what is behind the “wall” or outside the level

👎 The ability to see the world behind the map and the location of the level’s rooms by looking into the window of the “Office” level

👎 The ability to see the world behind the map and the location of the level’s rooms by looking into the window of the “Flooded House” level

👎 The presence of “extra” and “garbage” objects outside maps and levels

👎 Reflections do not match at the “Hotel” level

👎 Inability to climb the stairs of the level “Attic”

👎 Some of the objects in the “Flooded House” level are floating in the air

👎 Abundance of invisible boundaries that interfere with the exploration of “open” levels

👎 The presence of an untextured ball in the final cut scene of the game

    Conclusion:

“The Backrooms Deluxe” is a project about the world of Backrooms, created for fans of endless laminar spaces by the developers from Lory Games. Players will have to survive in unusual and sometimes frightening locations, and also strive to learn more about the world of Backrooms, while preserving their lives.

The gameplay of the game consists of exploring familiar and quite popular locations from the world of Backrooms, in which you can expect both recognizable places and situations, as well as monsters - who are ready to destroy a group of players - or, on the contrary, help them move to the next level. During the research, you will have to look for clues that will lead you and your team to the next level - both through ordinary doors and through interaction with various “everyday” objects.

Visually, the game is pretty awful. At first glance, creating such an unsightly project on Unreal Engine 5 should be technically impossible, since the free game engine tools allow developers to use high-quality models, textures, and effects. However, Lory Games has achieved the impossible.

Not only does the game look like an illegitimate child of GameGuru and FPS Creator in a visual style that was ported to UE5 without any improvements or edits - which is why players may experience optimization problems - but in addition, this project was sold at full price during “early access”. Thanks to which the meme “Thank you for the paid beta test” - can get a second life and become a slogan for products from Lory Games.

The guys from Lory Games not only failed to convey the atmosphere of mystery and fear of endless laminar spaces, but they could not even give players the opportunity to explore. Almost all the levels in the game are made in the minimum possible form, often consisting of a couple of small corridors and rooms - which immediately lead players to the exit to the next level. No long explorations, no wandering around "didn't we go through here" places. In addition, the game is completely lacking any notes or "traces of other researchers" that could somehow create the illusion of a "plot" or "mysticism". The only thing that is in "The Backrooms Deluxe" is a donation system that is made on the knee and does not carry a semantic load in the game itself. Thanks to it, you can buy batteries for flashlights, or even get endless flashlights and weapons - which instantly kills monsters. Because of which the passage turns into a boring forward movement, in which the player has nothing left to do except hold down the “W” key - responsible for movement.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the cooperative mode, which should bring variety to the exploration of the world - however, due to the limitations of the map size, the lack of procedural generation of the locations themselves and the random appearance of players on the map - it becomes extremely meaningless. After all, often, players appear directly at the exit, which is why the game can end before it even starts. And because of the random placement of players - you can find yourself outside the map or - in textures. Which negatively affects the already unpleasant impressions of the game.

"The Backrooms Deluxe" is perhaps the worst "Chinese" craft from the Backrooms series of games on Steam. Players will not be able to enjoy the game either in single player mode or in cooperative mode due to numerous errors and terrible optimization. If you are a fan of games about endless laminar spaces and Backrooms, then do not even try to launch this project, as it will greatly disappoint you. And if you are an ordinary user who accidentally stumbled upon this page, then the warning is doubly relevant for you.
