3. Tabletop Simulator Story walkthrough

Before you begin, there's an achievement for playing 1000 hours. You will probably want to start this from the very beginning. If you ever quit or take a break, just leave the game running, it'll progress towards this goal. I'll explain more about it later.

Firstly, when you launch the game, you'll be prompted to play the tutorial. (If you aren't or you decline it, press the light bulb on the main menu) Go ahead and do it, and try to pay attention to what you are doing during this tutorial. Once you complete it, you'll pop your first achievement.

Now, you need to complete the tutorial within 30 seconds. Here is the list of actions that you need to perform within the tutorial.

1. Left Mouse - Pick up the card.
2. F - Flip the card.
3. Left Mouse - Release card onto the stack.
4. Left Mouse - Pull one card from the deck.
5. Left Mouse - Move the entire deck of cards.
6. Left Mouse - Shake left and right to shuffle the deck.
7. Left Mouse - Drop 1 card above the white name on the table.
8. Left Mouse - Shake left and right to shake some dice.
9. Rotate the camera - Right Mouse - and drag.
10. Pan the camera - WASD.
11. Toggle Zoom with - Scroll Wheel - or - Z.
12. Space - Reset the camera.
13. Hold - Alt - while mousing over an object.
14. Mouse over an object and rotate it using - Q - and - E.
15. Hold and object then press - Right Mouse - or - T - on another object to pick it up.
16. Grab more than one object by - Left Click - dragging a box selection.
17. Right Click - on an object to bring up the contextual menu.
18. Open the control menu - ? - and close the menu by pressing - ? - twice.
19. Flip the table.

However, the best way to do it is just through practice. You need to memorize every action. If you look over at the list every time, (or even at all) there's no way you'll finish in time. It's not that difficult, but just takes several tries.

Once you complete the tutorial within 30 seconds, you will receive this achievement.

For our next achievement, we need to change our color 50 times. Your color is determined by the position in which you're seated at the table. Load up any game, I used Sandbox. Pick your name in the top right, and then press change color. Now, click any of the colors available on the screen. You need to change colors 50 times. You can do this going back and forth between two easily accessible colors, for it to be the fastest. This will take a few minutes to accomplish.

The achievement won't pop or progress until you back out to the main menu, so when you want to see where you're at or you think you've got it, you'll have to back out to see.

When you've reached it and backed out to the menu, you'll achieve this one:

Now, we'll be doing some table-flipping!

The first one is kind of hard. Still not too bad, though. Basically, what you need to do is join an online game, where the host has table-flipping disabled and try to flip the table.

Press Join from the main menu. I recommend checking the "Hide Locked" box. This will clean up your screen a lot, and will no longer show the games which you cannot join, which is really helpful for all of the online achievements.

Anyway, go ahead and join one of the games. Try to join a "well known" one (With a lot of players, or one which is hosted by a bot.) usually these will have the table-flipping option disabled, while the ones hosted by anyone may not. There is no way to my knowledge to tell if they do or not.

Once you're in-game, the table-flipping option will likely be grayed out. Wait until it becomes clickable, and then press it, and hope that the host has table-flipping disabled. If they don't, you'll likely have some angry people on your hands...

But if they do have it disabled and you are prevented from flipping the table, you'll get this achievement!

  • Too weak

You tried to flip the table… and failed!

    Too weak
2 guidesOnline Mode - These achievements require a connection to live services for playing an online game mode, for sharing content, accessing leaderboards, or validating data with a server.Cooperative - These achievements can be obtained by two or more players in a cooperative game mode who have met the achievement requirements.Versus - These achievements can be obtained by two or more players in a face off gamemode who have met the achievement requirements.Buggy - - These achievements may unlock after the requirements have been met or not at all.

Now we'll stay away from multiplayer for a while.

Next, we're going to do nothing but flip the table, for probably about an hour.

Load up any game, Chinese Checkers for example, and press the flip button.... 1000 times.

Once you press it, there'll be a cooldown phase, before you can click it again. This is what makes it take so long. Just keep on plugging away at it and pressing it as soon as it becomes available and you will have it eventually. The table will not flip visibly on the screen after the first flip, this does not matter. It still counts. This is the longest cumulative achievement in the game by far, so make sure to check your progress often. (by going to the main menu) when you reach 100 tables and 1000 tables, these will pop up respectively. Expect this process to take a little under an hour.

Now, we're going to take a break from flipping tables.

Open up a game of Poker, and look at the poker chips. (you will soon be looking at MANY more poker chips.)

Highlight a few stacks of the poker chips, then press Ctrl+c to copy them, then press Ctrl+v to spawn more. Continue to press Ctrl+v over and over. You need to spawn 10,000 of them. This doesn't take that long, so make sure to back out to the main menu to check your progress.

Once you spawn 10,000, you will get:

Now, for a quick one. From the main menu, press the global chat option. (bubble with three dots in the bottom left) Make sure the tab is on global, type anything in the box, and hit send. The global chat option is disabled and your messages are not delivered due to the developer disabling it, but thankfully you still get the achievement.

This next one is another fast one. Fire up a game of 'RPG' and move one of the characters really close to another one. Once they're close, hover over the one that appears to be able to hit the other one, and press 2 to make him attack. If they hit each other, you will get this achievement.

Spawn into any game, (another game of poker if you wish) and press the 'notebook' icon at the top. Go to the section for your color (probably white because it's the default) and type something, hit enter, and hit the X to close it out. You should get the achievement.

Still in that game, select options from the top, physics, and then drag the gravity slider all the way to the left. Throw some things around if you want and you will get this achievement.

This next one is a little bit longer. Load up any game, right click an item, select save object, you may need to create a folder, or you can just save it. You need to do this 100 times, and it can be with the same object over and over again. It gives you an option to insert a name, so what I did was name each object 1,2,3,4,5 etc until I reached 100. This prevented me from needing to check where I was at. Once you reach 100 and back out to the menu, you will receive this achievement.

Next, we'll be heading back to multiplayer again. Press join on the main menu. You're looking for a game that ideally says 7/8 players. (the max players needs to be 8 and that game needs to be full) If you find 7/8, join in. If you don't, there may be one that says 6/8, 5/8, you can join that and wait/hope for more players to join to reach 8. Either way, when you're in a full game with eight people, you will get this achievement.

Quit out of there, and then we'll be going for another one. Load up any game, press objects from the top bar, press components on the pop-up menu, press figurines, then select the figurine "Knight of Knil" and place it anywhere. Afterwards, go to objects, components, figurines, and spawn in the "Kimi Kat"

Once both of them are out, you should get the achievement.

You spawned the developers’ special figurines!

2 guidesOnline/Offline - These achievements can be obtained in either an online or offline game mode.Single Player - These achievements can be obtained by a single player.Cooperative - These achievements can be obtained by two or more players in a cooperative game mode who have met the achievement requirements.Versus - These achievements can be obtained by two or more players in a face off gamemode who have met the achievement requirements.

The next one goes much faster than you may think. Open up a game of Chinese Checkers, (since it has the most pieces) select all of the pieces by clicking and dragging, and then press Ctrl-L repeatedly, which will lock and unlock them. Once you reach 5000 items locked, which should only take a couple minutes, back out to the menu screen to get your achievement.

Head back into Chinese Checkers. Select all pieces again by clicking and dragging, and then right click on one of them. Press Color Tint, then change the color, then press apply. Press color tint again and repeat the process. Once you've done 1000, (again, it will be fairly quickly) back out to the menu to watch this one pop up.

This next one is kind of complicated. (at least, it was for me to figure it out) We need to upload three items to the Steam workshop. You can do almost all of this in-game. The only requirement is that you need to have three different images on your actual computer. It doesn't matter what they are. This is because you need to upload a thumbnail along with your 'project'. Your 'project' can just be an exact duplicate of one of the pre-made games.

So, load up any game you want. Press the 'modding' tab on the top of the screen. Press workshop upload. Then press the browse files button (yellow folder) in the "Workshop Thumbnail URL" section. Then, upload one of your images. Afterwards, press upload. That's 1/3. You can repeat this exact process to get the other two.

Once you upload three items to the steam workshop, you'll get this one.

Time to head back to multiplayer, for a couple more achievements.

Let's get the easy one out of the way first. Go into any game and ask someone to be your friend to help you get the achievement. This should work relatively quickly. Once you find someone who agrees, send them a friend request and wait for them to accept.

Once they accept, go to the main menu, press "Join" highlight the friends only box, and then join your new friend.

Once you load in, you will pop the achievement.

Now, it's time for the hardest achievement in the game by far. There are a couple methods to doing it. Basically, what you need to do, is be in a game with eight people, and all eight of them, including you, need to use the line tool simultaneously. This is much harder than it sounds, as you need to have everyone in the game agree to do this, which generally is difficult to do, because you need to have everyone stop in the middle of what they're doing. If one person doesn't, it won't work.

Method 1. Create a boosting session/steam thread asking for players who want to do it, and form a team. This method will take many days if not weeks to accomplish. Only do it if you're having a hard time. Method 2 is much easier in my opinion.

Method 2. In a game of eight or more people, you need to ask publicly if they all want to get the "Lazer Light Show" achievement. It's a very cheesy way of doing it, but it's really the only way to do it besides having a team already formed. The achievement is borderline impossible to be obtained through natural play. It will more than likely take many tries, as you need to be able to convince every single person to do it.

The way in which I did it is listed within the spoiler below. It may not be of importance, but if you're struggling it might help.

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Now, once you have your team, this is how you do it.

Everyone needs to use the line tool by holding down the TAB key, and drag their mouse around in circles quickly. The achievement should pop up a little while after doing this. If it doesn't, everybody needs to stop and try again.

In summary, be in a game of 8 people. All 8, including yourself, all need to use the line drawing tool simultaneously.

Once you do this, you'll unlock the hardest achievement in the game!

Now, with those out of the way, you just need to let the game run for.... 1000 hours. Additionally, you cannot change the date to get this, and there's no known way around it.

First of all, some people said that the time did not count for them while they were sitting on the main menu. Others say it does count, and it did count for me when I tested it, but you might as well just load up a game and idle it that way just to be safe. First, there's an achievement related to idling in a specific game.

So, load up a game of Chess, and let it run for an hour. Take extra precaution to not flip the table, and you will get both of these achievements.

Now, you have every single achievement except for the ones related to just pure time. These are obtained through letting the game idle. You can continue to idle in chess, or change it to any game you want as often as you want to change up the scenery. You will get achievements for 10 hours, 50 hours, 100 hours, 200 hours, 500 hours, and 1,000 hours.

Once 10 hours have passed you will receive this achievement. You may already have it depending on how fast you did the other ones.

Once 50 hours have passed, you will receive this achievement.

Once 100 hours have passed, you will receive the next achievement.

Once 200 hours have passed, you will receive the following achievement.

Once 500 hours have passed, you will receive the penultimate achievement.

Once 1,000 hours have passed, you will receive this achievement, and the completion!
