Man oh man, where do I start? Sinister City really brings out the C-Grade horror flick vibe with its cruddy voice acting and spectacularly cheesy dialogue. Not to mention the entire plot of the game, which is to get your bride-to-be, Nina, back from Count Orlok. There's also a hefty side of tongue-in-cheek references; Nosferatu, Lugosi, and even the name Orlok are all cultural references.

Bugs, bugs eeeeeeeverywhere. And I'm not just talking about little ones, this game full-on stops rendering important stuff. Like the city map, and the hidden object puzzles! The entire screen goes white, with bits and pieces floating around in nothingness. And they aren't always the items that you NEED to get either, making it incredibly difficult to find what you're looking for. Oh yeah, and the achievements don't function properly either. My first achievement? The one for not skipping any puzzles in the game. I hadn't even finished the first puzzle.

Avoid at all cost, and for the love of Dracula don't even bother with it on sale. For me, this one came in some long forgotten bundle and I decided to try it out this Halloween. I can't recommend this title because of the horrid glitches, it's unforgivable really, but despite its super flaws I found myself enjoying the time spent playing the game. What can I say, I like cheese.
