From Golden Game Barn comes
Regeria Hope: Episode One. This is a free to play attorney visual novel, in the style of
Ace Ventura.
You play as Regeria Hope, a female lawyer who can either use her powers to prove her clients’ innocence, or watch them hang and amass your wealth and power.
This is a game I was quite excited for when I first downloaded it; it seemed really fun and was a new take on the style of lawyer games I played previously on my old Steam account. Unfortunately, I found this quite a bit of a let down.
Mainly due to the fact when I forgot to save before exiting the game, when I came back into it, I made the exact same choices as I did the time before. The game would not take me to the same place, and just messes up, and refuses to take I back. I still haven’t been able to get past where I was previously because the game has just messed up, even validating the game files.
The game itself is fun, until it gets to the point where you made the obvious choice, and it tells you that it’s wrong – i.e. show where the client said he did not kill the victim. Shows the client’s statement. No this is not right. But it’s no where else? Okay, Golden Game Barn.
This is fun for some people, don’t get me wrong, but this was a game I really have not enjoyed at all. I’ve shelved it and honestly, I just cannot wait to find the effort to finish this and delete it off my laptop. I’d definitely not recommend this, and look for other visual novels on the Steam Store; there’s plenty of them, and a lot of them are tons more enjoyable.
