Pixel Survivors: Roguelike (Why is there an extra space in the original title, I refuse to use that :P) is another fun and addictive bullet heaven. I welcome this explosion of bullet heavens games as I enjoy this genre a lot. It can be addictive, runs have a limited time so there is a clear point on which you can quit the game to come back later and it just feels good if you managed to get overpowered in a run. All of this can be found in Pixel survivors as well, which is great.

The thing that makes Pixel Survivors: Roguelike unique from the others in the genre is that the monsters don't have a set amount of experience they drop. It is based on your luck stats, which also influences if normal monsters drop chests and even how many upgrades can be found in each chest. This makes the "luck upgrade" my favorite one to go for as it can make you really overpowered if it goes well. I had the feeling that if you play in the mode "x2 monsters" the monsters drop more chests, I'm unsure if this is correct or if it only feels that way because there are more monsters. I'm also glad to see that the extra monsters is a setting you can turn on and off however you want to. This makes navigating some challenges easier. I preferred to play with the "x2 monsters" setting on, as more monsters mean more experience and hopefully mean becoming more powerful (which on the other hand is needed to beat those extra monsters :P).

The achievements are mostly what we expect in a bullet heaven game. Get class X to level X in a run (you can continue playing after defeating the last boss), Complete all maps, and stuff like that. There are a bunch of challenges, like without crits or without heals/hp regen, etc. The most challenging achievement will be to beat the challenge "no chests" on the hard difficulty or higher, this can be very good combined together with the achievement for beating the challenge "no skills" on the hard difficulty or higher. This single achievement made me rate the difficulty of this game quite high. Otherwise, it would more be like a 3/10 or so.
