In this game, you try to find the cure for 4 diseases that are spreading around the world while also keep the number of sick people low. It is a digital version of the cooperative board game "Pandemic".
I love pandemic IRL. It was the first cooperative board game I played; bought it directly at release and have played it weekly at least in the first year and have played it more than 200 times IRL when writing this review. So I had high hopes for this digital version.
The digital version disappointed a little bit, but that was almost unavoidable with my high hopes. I still think it is a very enjoyable game, but the most important part that I love in the board game IRL is missing here... Other players to have discussions with about what to do next, and coming up with a plan together. I didn't expect that to be here, the game doesn't have multiplayer, but I didn't realize how enjoyable that part is. Without it, it is more of a puzzle game with some random elements.
The game is still a lot of fun, and making your own plan to save the world can still be a challenge. The achievements are very nice for the most part; it had some challenging ones that I enjoyed a lot. The achievements for winning X times are fun in the beginning, but I had unlocked all the other achievements within 9 wins... and then I still had to win 40 and 100! times. The achievement for 100 wins is why I think this is a grindy game to get to 100%.
