I went in hoping for a cheap, semi-Dungeons and Dragons type experience. I was excited when I laid eyes on the abundance of characters to choose from.
What I got was a game with little to no variety in any manner. No levelling, barely anything to purchase in the shops, barely any loot drops (same bow, same sword, same dagger, OOH a piece of leather armor). Speaking of loot drops, the monsters are redundant. Goblins, orcs, skeletons... sometimes mummies and hellhounds.
You get a bunch of gold, but you have nothing to spend it on. So why bother. The game is so easy that you don't even need the gold for potions. This is on "normal". I haven't tried "nightmare". But the game clearly states that "normal" is the way the game is meant to be played. So it's meant to be tediously easy.
Can't recommend... even for $3.
