I've never been a huge fan of FMV games, but I gotta say... Missing is probably one of my favorites so far. This first episode leaves you on a cliffhanger, but the devs are nice enough to give a short sneak peak at episode two.

Jazzy, relaxed noir style music and minimalistic dialogue leaves it up to the camera angles and acting to create an intense, immersive experience. The puzzles are simple, yet enjoyable. While it's nice to be presented with a challenge in most games, the casual game style of Missing really offers players the advantage of relaxing and enjoying the full motion video, atmosphere, and story rather than worrying about completing complex puzzles.

The ride only lasts about an hour, and it's well worth the asking price even when it isn't on sale. I seriously can't wait for the next episode. Not much of the story is explained within the first episode of Missing: An Interactive Thriller, but the atmospheric set-up and the effective capture of intense emotions from the main character are solid foundations to build from.
