I Get This Call Every Day is a point and click styled simulation of the day-to-day life of a call center representative (CSR). The game very clearly comes from Canada, and takes place in the perspective of a Canada Revenue Agency representative as they painfully attempt to gain information from a tax paying citizen who is in need of an address change. The game will only last about ten minutes per playthrough, but there are multiple ways to get fired, and even a way to eventually change the home address for this idiot.

Here's where my readers will gain some information about me. I'm 27 years old, and I have worked in call centers since I was 16; believe me, the struggle is real, and the job itself is completely soul crushing... especially for those of us who cannot stand stupidity. You never really realize or understand just how dense and stupid people are until you work as a CSR. I went from being a hopeful teenager who didn't mind humanity to a being completely devoid of any sort of emotional attachment and an utter hatred for our society, and just how damn stupid the general population is.

This game... this stupid, badly drawn, duller than a sack of blunted thumb tacks game, is a 100% accurate representation of 95% of the people I have ever had the misfortune of speaking with on the phone at my various CSR jobs. In fact, it's a tame representation, as I've been called every name in the book and asked the most inane questions imaginable. The guy that you speak with in this game doesn't yell at you, or ask you to explain their bill because they're too illiterate to, he's just one dense mofo. The title really conveys how it can become like getting blood from a stone, when attempting to obtain customer information.

There's just one screen, no background music, everything is drawn badly, you only talk to one customer, there are multiple ways to get fired, two different endings, and the voice acting sounds exactly like the stupid entry level tests they make you take when you're applying for a call center job. I Get This Call Every Day sucks just as much as every god forsaken call center job I've ever had, but you know what? It's an accurate simulation, and for that I give it a thumbs up. If you really want to know what it's like to be a CSR, without getting the absolute worst of it, pick up this game. If this review came off sounding like I am irritated, that's because I am! This game has done its job, and I shouldn't have played it as soon as I got home from work.
