I love this tower defense game. It has a lot of strategy in it, more than you would expect. Some people complain it is too hard; and in the beginning, I struggled as well. But when I found some things that worked very well, it wasn't that hard anymore.

You build your own dungeon and place monsters and traps in it to defeat the heroes that try to raid your dungeon. You'll also send monsters to other places to get more resources. It has a nice skill tree, so you can decide what you want to specialize in.

If you're struggling with this game, what helped me was looking at the enemies, which made it harder. A few things I did figure out while playing this game:
    - Have different monsters on each tile, you can set the magic type per different monster.
    - Placement of your troops matters. I placed all 6 monsters from two adjacent tiles together, so the heroes face a bigger group at once.
    - Buy as many new tiles in the dungeon as possible: the more tiles, the more space for monsters or traps.
    - Make the dungeon layout confusing, that way they will not find the core of your dungeon so easily.
    - Don't forget that you have to evolve your monsters manually after you bought the upgrade in the skill tree. To make it easier, when you double click a monster, you will select all of that specific type.
    - Stack up on Essence and Souls before you get to a higher dungeon rank, because the heroes will become a lot stronger. This way you can directly buy the better monsters/traps.

Another thing which is nice to know: if you choose "load" in the main menu, you can choose a save file from a few days back. This makes it almost impossible to ever get stuck in this game, because if you made a big mistake in the past 3 days, but still managed to progress, you can go back to a file from before that mistake.

The achievements in this game are very straightforward. You don't have to focus on any of them, because most you will get for just playing the game. The developer is against new achievements in paid DLC, so I don't think we have to be afraid that paid DLC will add new achievements.
