Game info:This game feels like Slay the Spire but with dice instead of cards, it is also a rogue-like game. It is just as addictive as StS as well. You start the game by playing an episode of the first 5 classes, so that is 5 games. You don't need to win them, just play them. After that, you get the choice which chapter of which character you want to play. You'll unlock the sixth character later.
I find it amazing to see how different the playstyles of the different characters are. For some examples, the warrior has 3 rerolls every turn. The thief uses random equipment of the enemy, while the inventor has to break down an equipment card every turn for a new bonus in the next fight. You don't want to break down your best equipment, but you also want a good bonus.
The chapters get much harder how further you go, it sometimes feels even unfair and frustrating, but I keep coming back for more and maybe the next run luck is on my side... (That is very wishful thinking for a game with lady luck who is against you :P) I have had runs where I was so close in finishing, but had a bad enemy right before the end boss and lost. Talking about runs, they all have 6 randomized floors, 5 with enemies, health "potions", upgrade or buy shacks, stuff like that. The sixth floor is the floor of the boss. To complete a run you have to beat the boss at the end.
Achievements info:The most achievements are for completing episodes with all the characters, including the bonus episode which should be very hard. Other achievements are for doing things a certain way. For example, in episode 2 of the warrior, you can get 4x the battle axe as equipment. You have to defeat the boss with 4 battle axes equipped.
Getting 100% in this game will not be easy and very time-consuming. At this moment of writing this review, 4 people on Astats have completed the game, they took between 35 and 75 hours for completion. That is less than I would expect, but still a long time for a card/dice game.
Pros & cons:+ Very enjoying and addictive gameplay
+ Amazing how different the characters play ad how different the episodes are
- The game can feel unfair, but I still found it fun and wanted to restart a new run right away
