From Goldbar Games comes a casual, free to play murder mystery anime visual novel. Released in only May, 2017, this surprisingly popular game has already wowed many Steam players and have had people looking forward to what else Goldbar releases.

In this game, you follow Detective Butler and his sidekick, Gilligan, as they try to solve a seemingly impossible murder case on a haunted cruise ship's maiden voyage. Is the ship actually haunted and the ghosts are at work, or is the crime a little more human than people first thought?

I got this game for a little bit of fun. I didn't really know what to expect from it, and I was a little disappointed in the fact that there were no choices to make. This is pretty much a book, with the option to interrogate who you want to - but you have to interrogate all of them when this pops up, so there isn't really much to do. The story, however, really caught my attention.

This has an amazing eye to detail, and a lot of it is really well written out. This is the kind of murder mystery I expect to find in a novel, perhaps by Agatha Christie, or maybe Ian Rankin. The creators of this game have done absolute wonders with it. I was left with my mouth open when things were finally revealed - I was completely lost for words. I had it all wrong.

Now, I know a lot of people are around to play games, rather than constantly read what's happening in the game, but this was actually a really stunning game. I was left really confused, and when I thought I had it all figured out, it all changed and left me struggling to comprehend what had just happened. I was wrong countless times. Part of the charm of this game is purely trying to figure out who did it before it's revealed in the game - and who doesn't like trying to crack a mystery that's set out in front of them?

The achievements are all relatively easy to collect, except maybe Skipper if you don't know what you're doing. The game is really well thought out and I had a lot of fun playing through this twice to get all the achievements - even going through it twice, I only logged 70-80 minutes of game time, so it is a relatively quick game! I'd definitely recommend this one to both achievement hunters and anime-favoured gamers. This was a lot of fun, and I'm really glad I downloaded it and gave it a shot.
