This is Carmageddon, with fancier graphics, a lot of blood and fun, cool game modes and a lot of hours to spend splatting pedestrians, cows and destroying enemies.
For those who knew the 90s version, the blood/guts/sexual connotations/craziness may not feel as huge as before, but it's still a very fun late night game to blow off steam (no pun intended). Achievements are a little time consuming as you'll spend from 30 minutes to 1 hour (sometimes more) in a level to reach the objectives, but you won't feel it as it is pure fun. Career mode has more than 80 levels.
Environments are huge with plenty of surprises and secrets, powerups are as annoying as the ones in the previous version, vehicules are all very bad. This game is a torture but a fun one and you'll come back regularly simply to play and have - did I already use that word here? - fun.
Most achievements come naturally by playing the career. A few related to multiplayer will probably require boosting as the playerbase isn't healthy. And some of them are bugged but there's a workaround.
Not the best game to expect 100% achievements (pure completionists should look elsewhere) but it's still pleasant to do 80% of them by playing the career.
