My friend feed doesn't show up on my homepage.

It's correct that I don't have any steam achievements yet, could that be part of the problem?

I linked to my TA and TSA accounts, figured that would make the friend feed appear but still nothing.

Update: weird thing is, I can see my own feed items on the feeds of friends, but my own homepage remains empty.

Also apparently my avatar shows up on my homepage but I remain a question mark everywhere else. Avatar works fine now.

Yet to be scanned, probably the problem.

Spilner said:Yet to be scanned, probably the problem.Well, my homepage says "yet to be scanned" but I did already request and get a scan (which got me a "scan completed" message). I'm guessing the yet to be scanned thing is only because the site can't find any trophies to my name but that's how it is supposed to be.

I've seen someone else now with 0 points and the same thing happens on their feed. I'll get an achievement later today and I'll post here with the results.

I'm guessing this still shouldn't happen though, this way people who join but have their Steam account on private don't get a feed either.

Update: I got an achievement and I requested a scan but nothing changes, it also doesn't find my one achievement...

Okay, I fixed it now. Apparently it was the "profile status" setting that needed to be set to "everyone", since it was just "status" I thought it was about viewing my profile, and not about viewing my achievements.

Only question that remains before this thread can be closed: Do you want people with privacy on to still have a friend feed? If not, this thread can be safely archived.

Its the fact you weren't initially scanned that caused it, privacy settings after the fact are ok.

So anyone wanting their achievements to be private should turn privacy off, get scanned, and turn it on again?

Does that also mean their achievements will turn private again on here or will the achievements scanned while not being private remain?

Not sure why someone who would be solely private would care about using the site.

... Someone who wants to use the forums and check out what new games there are but who doesn't wish to share his own information with everyone.

Got to have achievements on an account to use a lot of features, so someone signing up would need to show them to do more than just a friend feed, got to have some interest in achievements (Never understand why anyone would hide their game history)
