    Hey All

I recently held a gaming session and no one joined. Is the TSA Community dead?

I guess it's hard to have a healthy achievement hunting community since cheating is so rampant on Steam.

I also think that Valve don't care about Steam achievements at all. It's embarassing that third-party tools like SAM are still working on Steam to this day. Even freaking Epic Games Store offers better incentives to hunt achievements than Steam.

While i agree that Valve doesnt give a flying Fuck about Achievements, and SHOULD do better, it doesnt really correlate to the Activity of TSA. Theres plenty Communites that built around Achievement Hunting on PC, however its a Symptom of the Freedom we have on this Platform, theres plenty of Trackers go around (Metagamerscore, Exophase, Steamhunters, Completionist, ASTATS) and those are just the ones i know from the Top of my had.

I do feel that TSA however was a "Test" to dip into the PC Community, but since it couldnt be turned into the big go to Platform like TA is for xbox, and PSNprofiles for Playstation, that its being a little bit neglected and most of the Action happens on Discord anyway.

Agreed. Cheating impacts little to nothing on TSA engagement. It's much more of an issue in competitive gaming.

Discord? Don't tell me people are also using Discord as a database for achievement indexing? Or are you talking strictly about the gaming session?
Jesus Christ I absolutely despise this new trend of using Discord as a repository.

I think cheating has a bigger effect than people would think. Like being the x person to finish a game, or even trying to understand how rare an achievement is, is kind of lost because of things like SAM. but at least on this site you can report people and they will get sorted out. I find it frustrating mostly that this site is the most pleasant and easy to use in my experience, but it doesnt have that "this is the place to be" feel like PSNprofiles or whatever. I remember using TA as a kid and getting full parties of people to boost games every time i tried. Now I couldnt even dream of getting a boosting session to go through on here. I pretty much use reddit if im looking for that. It is a shame that there isnt a centralized place for PC like there are for consoles. This site isnt dead, but the community aspect of it, if there ever was one is pretty much non existent in my experience

Shame on me for replying to a necro thread. Oh well. TSA is used for achievement tracking, but it's not the same community the TA still is. Discord has the chat functionality we need here, and they do it way better honestly. But TA and TSA are the only websites I actively use for achievement hunting. I only use others when I cant find what I need here...and then I share what I find on other websites here so other people don't have to look elsewhere.
