Or I guess you could use this guide:

There's a trick that lets you download demos even if you own the base games.
First thing you need is the steam console in your client:
steam://open/console (copy this in your browser and open it with steam, doesn't work with Chrome)
Next step is using this command to install the game in question
app_install "APPID" (demo license might be required , just go to the demo page and attempt to dowload it to add the license to your account)
eg: Blue Rose appid is 365630 so your command should look like this: app_install 365630.
Final step is creating a new file named "steam_appid.txt" in game folder and placing game's appid inside.
Now start your game from game's .exe
(* = Demos that doesn't work with this method)Another method that might work is have a second account, activate Family Share with it and then download the demo with it and see if you can play the installed demo from your main account.
BTW bringing up Portal again.
Portal AchievementsIf you know the campaign even without cheats takes about thirty minutes, you need to play it twice. Then doing the challenges with console command cheats (which I have a guide up for) takes about another thirty minutes.
Realistically you could get the game done in under two hours. It's not a visual novel but the game doesn't require all too much skill and anything you get stuck on could just be cheated through.
