This achievement is missable.
To keep this as spoiler free as possible I'll just say that in Maray (the Jungle World) as part of the normal story progression you will encounter an object that looks like the icon for this achievement. You'll get the achievement for approaching it but don't get too close (for reasons that the achievement title suggests).
If, like me, you missed this and don't want to play through the game from the start to get here. There is a save game editor here:
