I think the only time you may need to use money is when taking the bus to the scrapyard, to avoid that go to granny's house before getting the dolls and steal her pass from her purse. You should also go to the right room to get her clothes from her wardrobe.
Finally, before going to take the bus, go to the photo booth near Agatha's home and dress there.
