You will find ingredients all over the games landscape and interiors. It is possible to track the number of ingredients eaten in the character stats menu.
It is advisable to simply create a saved game, eat any combination of 100 ingredients, allow the achievement to unlock, and reload.
There are some benefits to eating ingredients but it is probably better to save them for other tasks in game.
