If you've been keeping up with HITMAN
news, you may have managed to snag yourself two episodes of the game for free. Not only do players get the first location in the game, ICA Facility, free with the initial download anyway, "Episode One: Paris" was free with the "Holiday Pack" released in December 2017, while "Episode Two: Sapienza
" became free for a limited time with the "Spring Pack" in March. Beginning tomorrow, players will be able to get another episode for free courtesy of the limited time "Summer Pack".
While details are scarce right now, developer IO Interactive has confirmed the "Summer Pack" will include "Episode Three: Marrakesh
". If the last pack is anything to go by, it will include the Campaign missions for that chapter, as well as the Escalation Contracts, Challenges, Contracts Mode, and any future Elusive Targets that appear in Marrakesh.
Whereas the previous packs allowed players access to the DLC permanently once they had "purchased" it from the Steam Store, it appears that "HITMAN - Summer Pack" will only grant access to the DLC for the period of time the pack is available on the Store. A note states that "Game access lasts for the Summer Pack period, but your saved progress will transfer to the full game, if purchased." If you plan on making use of this DLC pack, make sure you earn all of the DLC's achievements as soon as possible as we're unable to tell you when the pack will be removed from the Store.
The pack is released tomorrow, July 17th.
